Joanna hummed as she shifted in her seat, blue eyes flicking between the billionaire and the woman who just entered the room. "No dress code as far as I'm aware, just had an appointment before I showed up here." She said warmly, holding her hand out to shake. "Joanna Rogers." She had to meet with her landlord and mention she wouldn't be there for a while, giving him a few months pay in advance, just in case she decided to stay at HQ. She still wasn't sure about her game plan, but she was starting to think about ditching this place. Joanna wasn't a fan of the whole 'cloak and daggers' thing the agents seemed to be about here.

She turned to Marshal and snorted once, rolling her eyes fondly. "Now I know this is gonna cause me nothing but trouble. You're here, after all, and trouble follows you." She said in amusement, but her smile faded as he spoke. "I don't know why we're here." She said quietly, taking a sip of her coffee. "And that worries me. Half of the Avengers are retired, and the other half aren't even on this continent. If they're bringing us in, all of us, something has to be going down, but shady enough that we haven't heard anything yet." She looked at the newcomer and arched her pale blond eyebrows. "Do you know anything about why they called us?" She asked, watching as an agent in the back touched his earpiece and spoke quietly into it. She was getting a bad feeling about this.

Benjamin stifled a yawn in his hand, his eyelids slowly closing. He had been out all night trying to get some files from a high-tech company and had to use his powers to evade the cameras. Since he only had one-third of symbiote inside of him, it took a lot out of him to use them frequently and without pause. He had to eat five bars of chocolate in order to even be able to come to the meeting without passing out. At least he had inherited Venom's dark black, so he could blend into the shadows. He had gotten the files of course, because he was good at what he did, but he was completely wiped.

"Forgive me for interrupting," he finally spoke up, his voice disrespectful as always, "but why am I here? Especially so freaking early in the morning. I have a date with my bed, and she is definitely the jealous type." Benjamin snarked, his brown eyes watching their leader carefully. He wasn't too worried about speaking out, mainly because he knew he was an important asset and couldn't be severely harmed. As if anyone would be able to touch me anyway, he thought grimly, I'd melt into a puddle before they could hit me. Although as tired as he was, he wasn't entirely sure he actually could. Not right now at least.

Billie's rather snide initial comment seemed to be met warmly enough, or at least with a bit less distaste than she'd expected. The blonde girl extended a hand, presumably waiting for a handshake, but Billie just stared at her outstretched hand with an expression of reluctance for a few seconds. "...Yeah." She sighed. "I'm Billie Blake. Handshakes aren't my style." With that, she turned away for a moment, trying to soothe herself with another sip of coffee. Hal whined slightly and kept his ears trained in Joanna's direction, clearly curious about the strangers surrounding him if nothing else. "Easy, boy, alright?" Billie grunted, scratching behind one of the dog's ears to soothe him. He nosed at her hand when she stopped, and she patted his head reassuringly. Though, much to Billie's surprise, the girl who'd introduced herself as Joanna had something else to say to her. At the question, Billie raised her eyebrows and shrugged. "Beats me." She snorted, swirling what was left of her coffee in its paper cup. "I sure as hell ain't an Avenger, so if they've got their sights set on getting the A-Team back together I'm a little more than just the odd one out there." She offered rather bluntly. All-in-all she seriously doubted this was really about the Avengers, and if it was, well, she'd hopefully be back in New York by tonight. "Maybe they got the wrong address, eh boy?" She chuckled, leaning in to ruffle her dog's fur.

Marshal looked over at the girl who had brought her dog and raised an eyebrow. They had Scooby, now all they needed was the Mystery Machine. His eyes shifted back to Joanna, and he looked as though he were going to say something else, but he was promptly interrupted. A man in a suit and black overcoat strode towards there table confidently.

"Thank you all for coming in today," He said as he reached the chair sitting at the head of the table. He sat down comfortably and placed his hands in front of him. "I know you all have other things you could be doing, and I appreciate you for taking the time out of your schedules to meet with me. My name is Director Argo, and I will be overseeing this operation that we've decided to call Plan A. This team, should you decide to join it, will be assisting SHIELD in the capture of a very elusive and dangerous criminal known as Alexander Roswell. Earlier this month, there was an attack launched on the capital, I assume you've all heard, involving super powered individuals and complex AI androids. We believe that this...display was a challenge. Roswell is finally ready to come out of the dark and take our forces head on." He paused, glancing around the room as the gathered heroes. "This man hold a lot of power under his thumb. He makes a habit of collecting super powered individuals, and has technology years ahead of us. If he's become bold enough to go public, than we can only fear the worst. This is why SHIELD is asking for your help."

Firi's tail swished behind him, the sharp, bladed tip looming dangerously. "You are fortunate. In the past, Mr. Roswell has only shown himself to those he trusts, or those he kills. But he has lost the need for secrecy now, and he's looking to build an army. He's invited you to join, and I suggest you do. You'll want to be on the winning side when Mr. Roswell is through."

Roswell glanced at his soldiers gathered around the atrium. They were tired, irritable, and none too happy to have been called for this meeting. But he didn't care; all he asked was their loyalty, not their happiness.

"You have all been called here," He paused to look pointedly at Dropper, "Because I have been informed of a new counter action by SHIELD. They are trying to form a new Avengers to come and rough us up, or so I assume. But we won't be intimidated; our next strike will remain the same. Tomorrow at noon, you will all join me in an attack on the SHIELD headquarters. Cause as much destruction as you can, kill any you meet. Make no mistake, this is only a show of power. Once the city fears us, new superpowered individuals will be looking to join the winning side of the fight."

He turned to look at Rho. "Miss Stark. I correct to assume that the android army will be ready for battle by then?"

But he wasn't about to get his hands dirty without something in return. "If yer boss s'all powerful, he knows I work for a price. What's in it for me mon ami?" He asked his thick cajun accent showing through.

"Affirmative." Rho's voice was as blank and emotionless as her face, not moving a single extra muscle as she spoke. "Repairs have been made from the initial strike on DC, and upgraded weapons and armor are being installed. Predicted fifty-eight point zero seven percent increase in combat efficiency. No issues to report at this time. Upgrade process will be complete in approximately seven hours."

The army of robots was the project Rho was actually interested in. VR was all well and good, but robots were something she could have fun with. The attack on the capital was simultaneously a tour de force and a trial run, prototype models with minimal weapons and armor. Still effective, especially against human troops, but not at the level she really wanted them to be. This time was for real though, so they were going through a rigorous upgrade process. That was all in the hands of the foundry now, unfortunately, Rho was to valuable to waste on watching a production line.

Oz rushed down the street towards the tall building that he knew to be the Plan A Headquarters. He hated the fact that he was late because when he was late he had to rush and the faster he walked the more obvious his limp became. Aside from being late he was very happy with today. He was finally going to be able to get out there and help people. He knew little about who his new team mates would be, but didn't really care. All he cared about was not being looked down upon, but he wasn't going to get his hopes up.

As Oz entered the building he instantly wished he had thought to chose less casual clothes. He was wearing nice blue jeans, a white shirt, and a red jacket, so he did not look too bad, but it was much different from all the suits he saw around him. He tried his best to block it out as he headed to the room where he was going to meet the others. When he entered he looked around before quickly sitting at the closest open seat to the door. His goal was to sit down before anyone noticed his brace, but he had no idea if it actually worked. He listened closely to what was being said, trying his best to find out what he missed.

Gabe stood off to the side, away from the others, as he listened to Roswell. Having had an uneventful night and being used to the early mornings meant he was not to bothered by the time. As usually he had a blank expression as he stood with his arms crossed. To others it may have looked like he was staring off into the distance, but his senses were actually focused mainly on Roswell. Part of him remained alert, ready to act at any signs of danger. He had little trust in Roswell and even less trust that he was safe, but this was nothing new. While he was strong and a good fighter, he knew that it was very likely that he wasn't the strongest person in the room. He was completely fine with not being the strongest. The only time that he did care was when he had fight someone. Even then he knew strength wasn't everything.

When Gabe heard Roswell say "Miss Stark" he tensed for a second before relaxing a little. He had grown up hearing about Tony Stark and how he saved the world time and time again, so he found it rather surprising when he first learned that Roswell had recruited a Stark. On the other hand he was in no way shocked when he learned the son of Venom was working for Roswell.

Atlanta wasn’t a happy camper. From the moment she’d stepped onto the plan she’d felt sick, which made for quite the horrific flight to Plan A Headquarters. On top of her upset stomach, she’d had no one to talk to for the entire ride, as the agents accompanying her didn’t seem to be a chatty bunch. She’d put in her earbuds and attempted to drown out the world with the sweet sound of The Cranberries. It had worked, to an extent.

Now Atlanta found herself being shoved into a room with all the other young heroes. She stuck out like a sore thumb amongst the business casual. She wore her signature red beanie, her dark locks falling loose around her shoulders. She wore a white crop top, a denim jacket, black skinny jeans, and white converse. A collection of bracelets fell around her right wrist. Atlanta’s discomfort was obvious, her eyes scanning the room warily.

Ah, now more people were filing in. The new kids looked more apprehensive, but at least they weren't quite as 'business casual' as the initial lot. Billie acknowledged them with nothing more than a brief look in their direction as they entered, glad that at least one had chosen to place himself at a reasonable distance. Billie was only half-listening to what the alleged director was telling them anyway, keeping her lip curled slightly in obvious discontentment as he continued. She was the first to speak after he concluded at least the first part of his speech, itching to get some of her irritation out into the open. "Hah, that's a good one." She scoffed, leaning back in her chair, folding her legs, and taking a much heartier swig from what was left of her coffee. "And I thought I was supposed to be the funny one around here." She muttered, flippant and disdainful as she'd ever been. "You're telling me that with, let's say, the most dangerous man in the world at large here, this -" She paused for a moment, not directly gesturing towards anyone else as an example but letting the implications of that statement hang in the air for a moment. "Is the metaphorical basket SHIELD is putting their eggs in to stop him?" The organization's title rolled off her tongue with distaste so strong that it almost implied resentment. Whether she was implying he was lying to them or just trying to imply SHIELD was incompetent was left to the imagination, though from her perspective, she didn't particularly care which interpretation landed. Though, if he was trying to trick them, he'd at least gone through the trouble of making it believable - even she had heard about that attack on the capitol a few week ago, which meant it was pretty well universal knowledge.

Marshal looked over at the girl who spoke first with a face of clear distaste. Who was this child they let in here and allowed to speak to the director of SHIELD like that? Argo turned to her slowly and looked her up and down with a stony face.

"Perhaps you are correct, Miss Blake. Perhaps we have put our trust in the wrong people. Your team lead status has been hereby revoked until further notice. If you are displeased with our arrangement, then you may feel free to leave."

He then turned to address the other heroes. "Are there any more questions, comments, or concerns? You will be living on campus during your time with Plan A, and all expenses will be paid for, unless you prefer something outside of our price range." He glanced at Marshal, who was currently texting one of his company vice presidents.

Mr. Roswell had told Porfirio that this one would resist until offered money. That was fine; many of the henchmen were paid. Those who had powers were paid more handsomely.

"Mr. Roswell pays his soldiers," Firi said. "The amount is between you and him. You will be given accommodations, much nicer than," He paused to look around the apartment with apparent disgust, his tail gave a flick, "Your current arrangement."

"Excellent," Roswell said approvingly. "You are all dismissed. Prepare for tomorrow; if any of you get caught, don't expect a bail out."

Atlanta watched as a girl spoke up, questioning the effectiveness of this new system. She couldn’t help but agree with her; this plan was flawed in many ways. For once, however, she kept her mouth shut. Speaking out of turn could land her in hot water, metaphorically speaking. When Argo mentioned they would be living on campus she finally spoke up. “I hate to break this to you, but if I’m not near an ocean I’ll be of little use to you.” It was true. With the exception of her strength and pain tolerance, all of her other powers required the ocean in some capacity. If she’d inherited her mother’s ability to control water it would be different. Unfortunately, only her father’s powers had been passed down.
