Alhar looked down at her, it hadn't helped him feel better. He was still worried about her but he could feel a little more a ease now that he knew the problem. He sat back down beside her, and gave a sad smile. He took her hand in his, he looked up at her. Their eyes caught and held, even though he could feel the amult fading again and that usually felt like a punch to the gut but he found he didn't care.
Suddenly there was a loud crashing noise as the windows of the room were kicked in. Swarming in huge numbers came bandits, thieves, assassins, thugs and... wizards of some sort. Alhar immediatly lept to his feet and drew his sword, standing inbetween the hord and Sae, he wasn't going to loss her. He glared down at the people, daring them to try and come within his swords reach. They didn't instead they mobbed over to the Sulent and elf off to the side, out of the paladin's reach. They still seemed to be caught of guard. One of the thugs came up behind each, holding them by the throat and holding knives to their throats. "Make one move and this knife goes through your throat, pity it would be." one of them hissed into Ash's ear. The other held Anamerak tightly, the knife already biting into his skin. Alhar stepped forward to attack but when the knives drew closer to his friends throats he froze.
"Well, well, well, what have you caught my pets?" came a icey cold voice. It would have been sweet except for the evil in the words, it sounded like a serpent if she could talk. The room became extreamly cold and through the back door stepped a ghostly figure. She would have been beautiful and in a strange way she still was. She was the average hight for a woman in her twenties adn had long flowing golden hair with strange streaks of silver running through it. It was tied back in a ponytail and the bangs blew over her eyes every so often. She wore a short silvery white dress and her skin was pail to match. In her hands the held a large staff that looked like silver vines twined around it, the orb on top glowing with a dull silvery light that seemed to cause more shadows than it lit. The most disturping thing about the woman was her eyes, they looked like multen silver, swirling and even glowing. It looked like the mist from outside the city was hiding behind those strange eyes. She gave a devilish little smile at the angry paladin "Oh, poor little creature, has himself caught in my web. What would a spider do?" She asked, she seemed to glide closer. She gave Alhar a little smile, he dared not to do anything but glare down at her, he could sense great dark magic and he didn't like it. The girl made a little pouting face, sticking out her lower lip, though there was no way that... creature could look innocent. "Ah, little paladin doesn't like me." she said cupping his head in her hands put then pushing him back.
Alhar shivered at the woman's touch, it was icey cold. When she pushed him away it wasn't he strenght that forced him back into the wall, someone or something added her. Something unnatural, he swore he saw a whisp of a pale screaming face. He slammed into the back wall and hit his head slumping to the floor only half concuse.
The woman turned back to the bandits who looked at to her, waiting for the attack signal. She looked over to them "We have what he came for, let us leave before more trouble arrives." she clapped her hands and a cloud of silvery smoke filled the room. Ever once and a while faces could be seen dancing in it but when you tried to look on them, they faded away. Some times a scream or a moan would be heard but then fade away. In the mist the people vanished with their now sleeping victums.
