Ravenmoon jerked awake trying to catch her breath as she looked around the cave, morning had rose over the mountain causing the sunlight to break through the cavern. She let out a shaken breath before she got up and returned down to the camp, "Echostar." She called as she arrived heading straight for her den, Echostar rose softly and tilted her head, "Did you get more information?" Echostar asked seeing the distressed Medicine Cat, she gave her a worried glance. "Y-Yes." Ravenmoon frowned, "His name is Bloodstone-" She started Echostar's eyes widened, "Bloodstone... I see..." She said, "You've heard of him?" Ravenmoon asked shocked, "I have." Echostar sighed shaking her head, "My father mentioned his name once, he was a dark cat that took down many clans with his clan of murders of rogues..." Echostar explained, "He rules over the forests for many moons, it is said our ancestors had a run in with his clan once which caused his downfall." She said, Ravenmoon frowned, "He said that I will bring the success to the Eclipse." She said shaking her head.
"Success to the Eclipse?" Echostar asked, "The shadow of the moon most likely." The leader sighed nodding her head before she frowned, "What else did he say?" Echostar asked looking towards Ravenmoon as she flicked her tail. Ravenmoon slowly nodded her head, "Yes he did, he said I had a pathetic connection to Starclan which is why I will never overcome him." She said. Echostar's eyes widened, "Of course, why didn't I see it earlier... the reason you cannot leave this dream, is because you have never had much faith in Starclan." She said looking at Ravenmoon, Ravenmoon blinked, "What do you mean?" She asked, "When you were a kit you hated the star cats as you called them. You defied Starclan and got a mate and kits... you only recently accepted them when you became a Medicine Cat but that doesn't mean your faith is strong." Echostar said looking into her eyes. Ravenmoon avoided her gaze, "So you are saying because I don't believe in them enough my mind is weak... and Bloodstone is right?" She asked.
"He might be right about it, but it doesn't mean you cannot overcome him." Echostar said, "You just need to have more faith in our ancestors and in our clan." She said, Ravenmoon's eyes widened, "I-It's as simple as that?" She asked, "Faith is not simple Ravenmoon." Echostar said sternly before she explained, "The clan comes first but our faith in our ancestors is undeniable. One must always believe they will be there for us to guide to way. It isn't enough to just say you believe in them you must feel it within your soul and bod that Starclan is our guide." Echostar said softly. "Once you believe... Everyone should return to your side." She said. "Talk to Rainpaw about it. Make a lesson of it." She said before she dismissed Ravenmoon. Ravemoon frowned and headed out of the den and looked up towards her den, she moved slowly towards it seeing Rainpaw organizing the herbs carefully. She moved into the den limping towards him, "Rainpaw." She said. Rainpaw looked up calmly and smiled gently towards her, "Greetings Ravenmoon are you ready to teach me more now?" He asked. "Yes..." Ravenmoon said as she sat before him looking into his soft amber eyes.
"What do you believe in when you think of Starclan?" She asked, Rainpaw thought about his answer carefully looking away for only moment before he smiled towards her once more, "I believe in hope... though I have only just learned of them, I enjoy listening to their wisdom. I always feel safe knowing they are watching." Rainpaw explained to her gently. Ravenmoon thought about it slowly before she nodded her head, "What does that make you believe... ah... I mean how does that make you believe in them?" Ravenmoon asked. "Well." Rainpaw said noticing his mentor was flustered, "I believe in them not because I can see them, or because they are always there, no I believe in them because they have never lead me astray and they are always guiding me in the right direction." He said. "How do you know they are though?" Ravenmoon asked, Rainpaw blinked, "I suppose I don't know if that is their intention, I also have no reason to doubt them. They haven't ask me to hurt anyone, everything they do always affects the clan in a good way. They send us warning of harm, if they really didn't care for us, why would they warn us?" he asked.
Ravenmoon's eyes widened before she slowly nodded her head, "You are right..." She said as she realized she was wrong not to believe in them, Rainpaw was right and she had been blind. She looked down before she felt a paw on her shoulder, she looked up softly, Rainpaw has put his paw on her shoulder but... she looked to the right and noticed that Spottedriver had her paw on her as well. Her eyes widened, the starry medicine cat smiled. "Hello again Ravenmoon." She said before she faded away. Ravenmoon felt a weight disappear before she let out a breath of relief and gave Rainpaw a nuzzle much to his surprise, "Thank you Rainpaw..." She said before she fell over falling asleep. She had been drained from the last few nights. Rainpaw blinked surprised but didn't wake her up because she seemed peaceful... for the first time in days she had a dreamless sleep undisturbed by darkness. Though she knew the darkness was still watching, she found a way to overcome them and it made her stronger...
Her connection to Starclan once again restored and peace returned to Ravenmoon's mind.
