she tried to catch a squirrel, but as she didn't have luck with those preys she decided to try to hunt some birds. Getting to her position, before punching and hitting one of the bird down to the ground, killing it quickly.

"i would definitely say bright colored flowers and the bright blue skies are one of my favourite colors too." she added. the leader wanted to throw in a witty comment about how her favourite color is the color of the tom's eyes, but she figured it could've been too surprising and might give the tom the wrong idea, instead she just smiled at the tom with the tip of her tail flicking in thought.

indentthe she-cat slowly made her way to the tom with a fond smile, and stopped when she was a paw's length away from the tom. realizing that she had gotten too close to the tom, she blushed and stared at her paws. "i.. uh, just got concerned about your safety, that's all." then a small smirk then formed on her features as she leaned in, "no one has to know." she whispered under her breath, purring softly as she leaned in and gave the tom a lick on his cheek. perhaps the feeling's mutual, but at least then i'll know.

You were the first one to comfort me, to check on me, to see if I needed a distraction from something. Freezing, Eaglegaze was trapped in the moment. Never before had he been in a situation like his current one and he had no idea what he was doing, so he did what felt right. "I know," he purred softly, nuzzling Nightholly's face gently. He enjoyed the moment while it lasted, and then his awkwardness set in. He opened his eyes to the soft eyes staring back at him and his heart jolted in his chest. He quickly moved away and looked down, his fur heating up. This caused the air to heat up around him, just enough to create a noticeable difference. Eaglegaze's face was plastered with a shy and panicked smile as he sat across from Nightholly. "I'm not good at this and I have no idea what I'm doing." His thoughts burst from him, louder than expected. Much louder than expected. In fact he hadn't intended on vocally exclaiming them at all. Realizing what had happened. He turned his attention back to the soft furred she-cat that held his heart in her paws. "I'm sorry..." his voice was softer than before and not as confident, but he refused to break eye contact this time.

He nodded to her thinking his words for a while "maybe...maybe we could go to look the flower field sometimes together" he meowed to her not really looking at her when he said that, as he felt little embarrassed. He was silent for a moment "now when we are speaking about beautiful things, calm night, with gentle yet warm wind and little bit cold air and sky full of stars is beautiful too..." he meowed "if you look the stars and use you imagination, you can see anything..." he meowed suddenly.

indentthe she-cat brightened at the suggestion, "we should totally go and look at the flower field! would you like to do it sometime tomorrow before leafbare comes?" she mewed, then suddenly halted. the she-cat didn't want to come off as too eager or excited to spend time with the tom. for now the leader had no clue whether the tom even likes her, but she knew for certain that the tom wasn't as frightening as he seemed.

indentthe she-cat smiled softly when the tom nuzzled her face, now more confident in her assumptions. so he likes me, i was right afterall. she thought to herself, smiling smugly. if i could pat myself in the back, i would, but meanwhile, enjoy this tender moment while it lasts. she let her train of thought continued as she watched the tom grew flustered and embarrassed. "that's okay, me neither." she mewed softly, keeping her eyes on the tom then she broke into a grin. "both of us don't have a clue, great! we don't need to worry about embarrassing ourselves then," she added, hoping to lighten the mood. "shhh, no apologies, you didn't do anything wrong. i'm glad you told me."

"i promise i'll be with you every step of the way. i promise i'll never leave you, and i'm here to stay till the end of time. i know i'm neither the most handsome tom, nor the smartest in the room. i was just a lonely and broken soul until i've found you, my other half, the she-cat who completes me. i love you very much, please don't ever forget that." he murmured, pulling the she-cat even closer to him with his tail. "i'm so glad i've found you." mom, i did it.

indentthe tom surveyed the area before deciding he couldn't find anymore in the region. he figured it might be a good place to stop as the sun was going to set in a short while. the white tom returned to the gathering place with his freshkill hanging from his jaws as he waited for the she-cat to emerge.

Allowing a smaller smile to soften the features of his worried face, Eaglegaze calmed a bit. He nodded and settled down, curling his tail around his paws in the process. This uncovered the eagle feather that he found in the holly bush. Pale yellow eyes flicked toward the movement for a moment, but the owner of the eyes decided that it didn't matter. Whether it was a prophecy or omen, big or small, it didn't matter. Nothing mattered. Nothing except for these few moments with Nightholly as the sun leaked through the trees. Eaglegaze felt small in his companion's confidence, but he didn't mind. He would let her lead him through this. No one ever taught him how to feel like this. He was only taught how to help. Help and heal. Help and heal and have pride in his work and his clan. With every moment that passed the worried look on his face continued to soften as he sat, bathed in sunlight and shadow alongside his friend.
His lover?
He would figure that out later. Don't worry about it now. But still... There were plenty of things to worry about. Things that were threatening to rise up out of this calm and smother him. Things that could become problems later. Things that he never thought would be his problem.
Eaglegaze looked back at Nightholly, realizing that he had gone out of focus for a few moments. "Are you sure that this is okay?" He voiced his question softly, as if he would disturb the sweet bliss around him. The darkness of the worry in his mind were threatening again. He wished that everything would simply fade and he could just be here with her and the sunlight and the trees. He continued although a small bit of his mind screamed at him to stop. "I'm a medicine cat. I thought I wasn't allowed to feel like this. I don't know how any of this works and I don't want to hurt you." The small part in his head that was screaming, was becoming louder and he finally listened. He stopped. Never before had he been more conflicted than he was in that moment. He always assumed that being a medicine cat meant that you couldn't have any relationships. His mentor always hated the idea of love and made sure that he knew these things.
Wait... Love? Where in StarClan did I get that? There is no way...
Eaglegaze kept his pale gaze fixed on Nightholly. He waited for her response, hoping desperately that she wouldn't simply give up and leave. He knew that he had probably dug himself into a hole but he hoped that she would help him back out.
