Missing Pet???

So I could've sworn I got a banner fox, me and my friend both remember that I mentioned I got it, and I could've sworn it was in my groups, is there a chance a pet could vanish or am I just not paying enough attention? Thanks for any responses! I just want to know if I'm remembering this wrong or if a pet can actually disappear by some glitch.

I forgot to add, shortly after I made this a few token banners later I actually got one, I thought beforehand I had somehow lost one because I could've sworn I got it. Thank you though 😊 I'm happy I did get one this time
