Completed Prompt:

E07:Orange is the new black
Ah yes Fall...The glorious season of dead leaves, cool winds ,and Gourds! In the savannah the Oasis Pride is starting to clear dead brush and the leaves to prevent any massive wildfires and use the brush as crafts and a source of fire for their fire pits. Every year they clear that growth so new growth can come back in the spring time.As they finished up the annual task they go out searching for Gourds and sweet smelling herbs, where they carve them with their claws and hang them into beautiful Boaoab trees to light up the night sky’s for a while. After the Halloween they take any spare Gourds and use them as healing remedies, orange war paint, and make a delicious gourd soup with herbs and berries. They take the orange warpaint and apply it on their face and then mark the Boaoab trees with their paw prints every single year.Every year if you look at the different Boaoab trees you’ll see the paw prints of the past generations of the lions.

E08:Into the “woods”
One dark night ,Safari was coming back from a ally meeting and decided to take a shortcut through the woods instead of his usual mountainous jungle paths. As brambles started snagging in his mane and vines tramping his paws, the woods seemed like they were trapping him in.The massive king of the Oasis whipped around hearing strange noises and flinched as bats swooped down on him.He recomposed himself and held his head high trotting through the woods,he wasn’t a scaredy-cat.He just wanted to quickly get back to his mate and cubs.Safiri glanced around as he was finally out of the rather annoying brambles and the path was starting to widen a bit.He flinched bearing teeth snapping and African Wild Dogs howling at the moon. All most Home,All Most Home Safiri!Safiri quickened his pace and was practically sprinted as he assumed he was being followed. He roared as he tumbled down the path and fell on a rock.Safiri hopped and glanced around the Savannah shaking his dirty pelt out.His jaw dropped as it was just a minuscule meerkat scuttled out.Safiri huffed and ran faster to the pride out of mild embarrassment.

E09:Child Beware
Fuli quietly sat down watching her children ruff and tumble about. She noticed her son Jasiri was sitting out for a moment from playing with his siblings and slightly felt her whiskers twitch with concern. Fuli got up and sat down by her sons side.“What’s wrong Jasiri?” She started grooming him gently to warm him up on the bitter autumn night.“I’m just thinking about the festival mama,I’m so excited for it!” He purred and playfully pounced on a firefly.Fuli chuckled and beckoned her son back over to her side.“Well my boy,I know you are very excited but it’s important for you and your siblings to stay very safe. I don’t want you to get hurt. Please be careful baby.”She licked the top of his head flattening his “mane” and smiled as the little cub made the yuck face but nodding to his mother’s warning.Jasiri scampered off to his siblings and started roughhousing again under his mother’s watchful eyes.

E07 wrote:Time for Orange - 208 Words
The leader of the Heron River Pride watched as the bright red, orange, and yellow leaves fell from their places on the tree branches. She had been across the river, watching the area where the great caribou would come down from the Pine Hills to graze in the plains below. She knew the creatures she had named the furless ones watched over some of the caribou now, confined to a small patch of grazing grass by a log fence. Shanara had been there when a coyote had been trampled and speared upon entering that pasture. Crossing the river again, she came across more leaves turning orange, and a little bit of cubhood glee filled her heart. The leaves and grasses turning orange meant that the migratory herds were coming back, and that the days wouldn't be as hot anymore. The pride would have a harvest celebration, along with their annual predatory hunt. It was a time for festivals and sweet mice made by the shaman. She remembered why they had these traditions, but she would rather be excited than fearful of the time ahead. She padded back into the hilly campground, greeting their shaman by his den and seeing all the cubs playing in piles of fallen leaves.

E08 wrote:The Hunter's Garden - 303 words
Shanara was watching the cubs that night, cubs that were ornery, annoying, and downright rambunctious. As Queen she should not be the one dealing with them, and yet the pride's official cub sitter was sick and unable to be around them as the Shaman had deemed her contagious. Shanara squinted and glared at one of the cubs climbing her tail, "You shouldn't be messing around with someone who has escaped the forest near the Old Ruins." Flicking her tail to remove the pesky cub, and laying her head down facing away from the trio.

One of the more curious cubs asked, "What's that place?" then laid themselves beside their Queen and current entertainment. Shanara turned her head towards the cubs with a mischievous glint in her eyes. She smiled, her whiskers lifting in that big cat way.

"The Old Ruins are a place of great evil, many a creature has died there and now the entire territory knows to stay away from the place and it's forest. I had gone through there to map the area, and even I had been caught." She held her breath, waiting for the inevitable, 'what happened? How did you escape?!', from the cubs before continuing. "My leg had been trapped in a monsters jaws, and I laid there for days before a strange creature found me and set me free. It stood on two legs, and had almost no fur, while wearing the coats of the great caribou that live in the northern pine hills." Shanara finished her story as the Shaman entered to free her from her shift of watching the cubs. Their eyes the size of an elk and with wide open mouths. To this day nobody knows if she's telling the truth or not, but Shanara herself knows her story is exactly what happened.

E09 wrote:The Secret Recipe - 213 Words
The Queen was yet again reduced to be the Watcher of cubs while the Cub Sitter recuperated from her sickness in her den. As the Queen she was not required to have this position and in fact could command any of the other lions in her pride to watch them, but she believed that even the highest ranks should do things they did not wish to. One of the cubs ran up to her, climbing on her back and laying on her lengthwise with their legs hanging off her sides. The cub leaned up and pressed his claws into her shoulders, "Mistress ma, when will the festival begin? I'm so excited to play in all the games the older cubs say there is. And to go trick-or-treating! Oh man I'm so excited, I can't wait for those sweets!" He licked his lips in anticipation of the mice that had been specially prepared by the shaman to be sweet like human candy. The cub was not prepared for the paw that swiped him off of the Queen's back.

She looked hard at him before sighing with a smile, "I am as well. Only the Shaman knows the special recipe for those sweets and it drives me nuts that he won't share it with me."

Orange?

For the Healani pride Orange is a color that does not seem to come about often, sure some of the trees in the jungle may turn slightly orange but the climate dose not really allow for fall to set it. Though the only orange that really happens is the color in the large bomb fire that they have every so often to celebrate and enjoy the nice warm evening. It flickers and dances in the night sky and it helps liven any party. Though the color does not really mean anything to the pride its the light of hope that the fire gives off in the night sky and thats what really matters. Orange is something that isn't natural to the Beach. Sometimes the ocean has coral, some turtles and fish that are orange but it just is a sign of the ocean providing from the pride not a sign or act of the Ancient Parents.

Spooky Evil Spirits!

Alani was lost in the deepest part of the jungle that was on the edge of the hunting grounds where most Healanian's hunted for rabbit or small boars. But on the chase for a small boar had got her turned around and completely lost. She was breathing heavy at this point. She didn't recognize the trees or the game trail she was on, her mind began to race as she looked franticly around her backing away from the weird sound the Russell before her. What is they where just the Ancestors but what if its worst...what if it was a spooky evil spirit! She panicked even more and lost her footing and went tumbling down a hill, passing branches and twigs that snatched at her like spooky fingers. She shrieked in terror and all she could do was watch the world spin out of control. She soon stopped and looked around finding she was back on a familiar beach and sighed.

Maile was bouncing off the walls of the Nursing Den and was more then excited for the spooky season ahead when they get to visit with the Ancestor that came from the Great Father. She was excited for the treats she would receive from everyone and heard that there would be clams! Clams galore for those willing to sit and listen. Clams where by far the most heavenly and most tasty snack on their Giant Turtle and she wanted them all. The Den mother looked at her with a stern face and shook her head. "Calm little one..." Maile just ignored her but soon the Den mother snagged her tail and she came to a sudden halt. "You should..." She thought for a moment before a smile appeared on her face "Take a nap for a while.." Maile scuffed "I don't want to sleep I wan't Clams!" She whined at the Den Mother. "Sleepy Cubs don't get to stay up for clams, only good little cubs...If you dont sleep now you wont have clams later" The Den mother threaten. This put a shock in Maile little heart and she dropped her ears "Yes den mother" She whispered as she curled up with her brother and closed her eyes...Nothing would keep her from those clams!

Link to pride: Ka-Leo
Prompt Number: E07, E09
Completed Prompt:
Autumn haze turns to spectral blaze, the hymns of a lone lion echoing through the seemingly endless fields of tall grass. Each individual blade's tip was lit aglow with a beautiful red and orange blend, that same glow reflecting off onto Tamiyoh's pearly white fur as he slowly grazed through this ethereal field. It was quiet, save for his near-silent song, which carried itself along the evening's winds. Quiet. Peaceful. A time for such things, indeed. Autumn signified one of the only downtimes the lions of Ka-Leo ever got, and as such, it was quite the celebratory season for them. No need to worry about their duties, hunting, dictating the clan, none of it. All the food they needed was right outside of their homes and the lions dictated themselves while also forming stronger bonds with one another. It was almost like a mini-mating season in that sense alone. The prettied up wilderness around them was an added bonus... but nothing would trump getting to be free of the shackles of clanhood for a few months.

Meisu lets her tail roll over the leaf-cluttered ground as she eyed the small pack of cubs she'd taken charge of watching that day. She was an utter sucker for the younglings, finding that she greatly adored how innocent and pure and especially curious they always ended up being. With autumn on the march, that curiosity and pureness was put on display tenfold, the she-lion unable to keep a smile from creeping onto her face every time the cubs discovered something new and amazing they loved about the season and its bountiful, gorgeous offerings. There was no real danger when autumn was among the valley. The only real threat was the slight chance that the Ka-Leo would run out of food early, but even that was an easily avoidable obstacle. Thus, the lions, but especially their normally firm and harsh leader, were able to relish in the excitement their cubs felt, knowing full-well they were protected by the valley, protected by them, and could enjoy their season of the sun as they pleased.

A Warm and Gracious Color
-A freestyle poem by Chosovi-

The bright and youthful greens
Of the trees amidst the summer,
Nor the gentle and calming hue
Of the vast and glorious ocean
Cannot compare to the color
Of which the trees turn in fall.
Though they may have hues
Of reds and yellows,
None can compare to the
Warmer color
Of orange.

Red, although passionate,
Can be quite harsh at times.
And yellow, though charming,
Can be too bright.
No, not one color can compare,
To the color as gentle and warm
As orange.

When the sun sets,
there it is.
When the leaves turn
It is present.
Even as the sun
Awakens from it's slumber
And rises into the sky
The color is there to greet
That warm orb of light.
The color
Of orange.

Green may have meanings
Of life.
Blue may have meanings
Of bliss.
But only one color brings
Back memories of
Fonder times.
When a pride would gather
Together
To watch the sun set.
That color
Is orange. (174 wc)

Prompt Number: E08-Fear
Completed Prompt:

"Dang it!" Exclaimed a voice amongst the dark and dreary willow trees. The forest was completely covered in an eerie fog that just so happened to appear out of almost nowhere!

"This is what I get for going out hunting alone... Alosaka's gonna have my hide." Etchemin whined to himself, soon taking a cautious glance over his shoulder. "If I can even get back home. I can barely see with all this fog."

He continued to pad onwards, jumping at every snap of a twig or scurrying of a squirrel he could possibly hear... but he ultimately heard pawsteps... pawsteps that weren't his own, and they were rather close. He could feel his heart beating in his throat for only a second before he quickly ran away, the sounds of crunching leaves beneath his paws.

He could still here them, still running right after him. Oh, goodness gracious, what was he to do? He continued running and running. The male glanced behind him as he ran, failing to see the tree heading right for him and then, BAM!

He groaned softly as the world spun, he soon looking up to the tree's limbs before realizing his situation. He gasped, soon looking toward the direction he had just come. There it was... The creature roared angrily at him, causing Etchemin to squeal like a newborn cub. He was a goner!

But laughter was heard soon after. The creature that had been chasing him? It was a bear... or appeared to be.

Since then, Etchemin has despised Alosaka's costume. (257 wc)

"Now listen, little one," Degotoga began, gently yet sternly grabbing the cubs attention. He only smiled upon her soon afterwards. "Listen to the wise words of this old geezer, pretty please?"

"Can it wait, Master Degotoga? I'm trying to get my disguise ready for Framunti!" She'd exclaim happily, her tail wiggling contently behind her.

Dego could only chuckle at that, soon batting the cub with his paw. He could almost squish her with that large paw of his.

"I know, I know. But I want to warn you to be cautious, okay? Keep in mind of the rules around here and don't go out alone, no matter what you see or hear. Always take somebody with you, okay?"

She was silent a moment, as if contemplating on saying anything. "...Okay."

"Good." Commented the male, soon leaning over to lick at her ears. "Now... What sort of disguise are you going for, huh? Perhaps I can help a little." (158 wc)

His steps echoed in empty elation. Eyes turning towards the eclipsed Elysium above, Tak'iori lets out a soft grunt. His limbs were pressed tight against the shattered stone of once solid ruins; shivers wracking throughout his spine. As usual, all he could see of the world was slate grey; grand and gilded, yet ghastly. It was beautiful, but he'd seen too much of it. His ruins were made of nothing but sagely stone. To make it worse, he had no pride-members to brighten his view, or give at least some colour. It was only him, and these ruins of wreckage wrought of warfare and warning.

Wisps wove around the winding whirls of wisdom, glowing, and leaving trails of a colour Tak'iori had never encountered. It was...warmth, and witching alike. Sometimes, the colour grew wrathful, stabbing into Tak'iori's eyes with a burn almost of flame itself, though he'd never encountered such a flame. He smiled. The trails gave life to his lordly and lyrical ledges, lacing up in almost lazy layers. He viewed them as life itself; startling at first, and slowly growing to it's full blaze.

Orange grew to be a signature symbol, starting in shroud, and settling in satisfied status.

E08
[219/150]
All he could see was white. Wet wrenched his fur to the corners of his face with wind as he wailed out. His eyes teared up, wild waves of blade slicing into them as he ran. The clouds had not accepted his offering; and he swore one of them was out to get him. Cloud had never stung him like this before, nor blinded him so. He huffed as he weaved his way around the ransacked lands, mismatched in terms of temperature and land. Perhaps it was a fever dream, he reasoned. The spirits had never been so violent in response to an offering, nor had he burned with the chills of rawborne frostbite at his heels.
The sizzling snarl of regret rampaged through him. He'd intended to explore, perhaps even extend his territory, yet it had ended with this. Had he given his offering incorrectly? Or had he found a rare, antagonized spirit? His heart pounded as he leaped across a corner, claws desperately scratching the polished power below. A grip... He needed to get a grip on himself. It couldn't be a ghost, no... It was too close to resting time of the spirits, where the world would refresh. He needed his refresh soon. All he had to do was last...
Last one more lingering lore's lashing.

E09
[225/150]
Cub's were precious, now that, all lions of Kuebiko could agree on. They were the innocent members of the pride, borne without an evil in their soul. Tak'iori couldn't help but get excited with every cub when it neared the days when the wisps would wander. While he was the pride leader, that wouldn't stop him from enjoying these times with the true and tiny members.
He smiles as their eyes widen, bewitched in wonder at these blinding beings! Oh, how graceful they flew, leading and lining the cubs with almost playful sparks. Tak'iori bowed his head in greeting to these old friends. He was sure they were eternal, but that made their visit no less of a blessing. A beauty.
Yet... As beautiful as they were, their playful nature was akin to fae. They saw no wrong in their tricks, seeing them as harmless, and merely events to pass the time. Games, rather. Tak'iori knew that while they were timeless, his prides cubs were not. If they followed these colors too closely, they could become cold, and corrupt in cloud. Unable to find their way home once the light died out. Thus, he watched closely. Danger was danger, be it from friend, or foe, and he'd protect the cubs. They were stubborn, but even they knew not to dangle over dangerous depths of deception.

Of the orange leaves beneath her paws.
Each time she stepped in the woods,
She felt like he was following.
Maybe he was gone for good
Or still hanging around.
But he’d always linger in her head
When orange came falling down.
Wicked fears don’t disappear
Just cause you want them too.
Even though she has escaped,
His pawsteps haunt her still.
So when the trees unleash their leaves
To clutter up the ground,
She keeps herself away so that
She won’t think he’s around.
Once, she thought orange was
A color of new beginnings,
But now she realizes that from the start
It’s been a color of endings.
A reminder of the past
When the sun sets in the sky.
And maybe the reality is
That orange is a reminder
Of who she was and who she is
And how her fate was changed.

- about Tenga and her past
E08 wrote:Nasaba’s father was the one who taught him about what lurked in the Trial Grounds of the Isle of Rose’s territory. One night, when the pride still consisted of only Jiwe and him, he found himself unable to sleep. Alone he crept through the night, feeling a tug in his heart. At the tree line, his father revealed himself, standing right beside his son.
“Spend one night in those woods,” His father said as they looked at the dark, foreboding trees, “and it will show you can handle this position. I know you’re afraid, Nasaba, but you can do this.”
“You didn’t even raise me. How can you know?” And yet, when his father disappeared instead of answering, Nasaba still answered.
He never told Jiwe what he experienced when he came back in the morning, worn and bedraggled. The wounds he had went unexplained, for Jiwe didn’t press the matter. All Jiwe was told was that there was an evil in the woods, an evil only a capable leader could survive, and that evil clung to the trees. It was from then on that the Trial Grounds were banned from being accessed, save for a few exceptions. One thing is for certain though: Nasaba came back more confident in his ability to lead than he was going in.
E09 wrote:Jiwe has to deal with not one but two rambunctious cubs excited for the spooky season. Sasa and Laani both were more than eager to celebrate their first changing of the seasons with the pride, not knowing that it was the first for the entire pride. While their father doesn’t often speak, it is obvious that he is very concerned about his cubs. He is constantly lingering to try and make sure they don’t get hurt, especially when his daughter is prone to clumsy accidents and his son loves to create mischievous havoc. Between the two, he has his paws full, though Tenga is always there to help. However, she often has to remind him that they are cubs, and cubs are going to be wild and sometimes get hurt. They can’t protect their cubs from every injury, so they need to focus on keeping them from making big mistakes. Jiwe very begrudgingly acknowledges her point, but it doesn’t stop him from worrying and often hovering over them.

"hello?" he called out. "who brought me here? where are you? why me? why here? where am i exactly?"

no answer. his voice echoed around him, though there was no space around to provide that echo. skelm eyed the woods warily. the trees were too tall and thin to be normal, and too organized to be natural. the fog seemingly had no source, and skelm involuntarily shivered - this was not a natural forest.

with nothing else to do, he bounded off in a random direction. the trees started to grow more wildly, and the fog became denser. pits and fissured started to litter the ground, various hisses and snarls coming from their bottoms. vines reached down and curled around skelm's paws, trying to trip them, though he shook the off easily.

a bright light shone ahead. quickening his pace, skelm ran towards it, only to trip and fall on a stone. he slid into a nearby fissure and his claws scrabbled at the edge, but to no avail. he was falling. and he hit the ground and -

skelm awoke with a roar. so he had been dreaming. he was lying in his camp, in his normal spot. the sun was up. there were no woods as far as the eye could see. skelm sighed. dreams could be so stupid.

"what?" the king groaned, unflattening his ears and opening his eyes. the cub looked hurt. "did you hear anything i said?" he asked. skelm snorted. "you lost me somewhere after 'hi, my name is.'"

the cub hung his head, and turned away. "oh. i guess i'll just...go then."

skelm blinked in surprise. had he hurt the cub's feelings by not listening? the king guessed he had, but he really didn't care for cubs, chatter, or all hallow's eve that much. put all three together? unbearable.

but something compelled the king to call out after the cub. "wait!"

the cub stopped and turned around. "what?" he asked sulkily.

skelm frowned at him. "first of all, get off my territory. second, swamp monster, yeah? good idea. find some seaweed and drape it over your body."

the cub blinked at him and suddenly beamed, bounding over to skelm to headbutt his leg before running off of the lion's territory. "you do care! thank you mr. king skelm!"

care? thought skelm. not really. he had just told the cub how to make his costume. because the only thing worse than a costumed, chattering, cub on all hallow's eve was an improperly costumed, chattering, cub on all hallow's eve.

Sen came in to see their headquarters adorned with all sorts of Halloween decorations. There were bats hanging from the ceilings and cobwebs in the corners. Actually, the cobwebs might've just been the lair's natural decor. Every lamp had a pumpkin papier-mâché over it, giving the whole place a dim, orange hue. A couple of the gourds lay across the tables.
"What's going on here?"
"The annual pumpkin-carving competition!"
Sen tilted his head to the side, looking curiously at his subordinate.
"Annual? We're never held one before."
"And we wouldn't now, if you keep this attitude. Luckily, you have me to organise it! There will be a bunch of cubs here in an hour, so get ready, we'll teach them how to make the best jak-o-lanterns in the world!"
Sen sighed and ran his hand through his hair.
"We're hunters, not entertainers. Why is this happening?"
"We need to teach the young generations about safety during the holidays. And the best way to learn is through fun!"
He smirked, looking at the excited corporal.
"Are you sure you're not doing this just for yourself?"
"Positive! That's only part of the reason."
They both chuckled.
"I think I have a bag of fake moustaches in my office. Don't ask why. I'll bring them down, we can use them for dress-ups."

Completed Prompt:
Hs felt like he'd been stumbling around for hours. Nothing but darkness around him. Dark trees, dark sky, dark groud. During Halloween nightmare activity increased, so every shadow looked like one, just waiting to suddenly charge him. He was stressed more than usual, because he didn't know this are and he didn't have his pride with him. The stakes were also higher than usual. Someone's child apparently got lost here so he had to find them quick. Of course, couldn't ignore the idea that it might've all been nothing, but an elaborate trap. Lost in the forest and his dark thoughts, he heard a cry.
Without a moment's hesitation, Sen ran towards the noise. Through the dead-looking autumn forest, jumping over bushes, scratching himself, but not minding it. Anything, to get there as fast as possible. He reached a small clearing, where a young cub sat, tears pouring down it's cheeks. A candy bucket lay next to it, treats spilled on the ground.
He saw fear in the cub's eyes, as he loomed over them. He relaxed his muscles and in a soft whisper asked:
"Are you okay little one? Your mom is worried and looking for you. Should we go home?"
The little kitten stopped crying, sniffed loudly and nodded it's head. Sen made sure the child wasn't hurt in any way and just scared, picked up the bucket, filling it back up with candy and gently grabbed the cub in his mouth. He made his way back to the station. Nothing spooked him this time, protective instinct told him to be brave.

Completed Prompt:
On the day of Halloween the station was lively as never before. A whole bunch of cute cubs were there, all dressed, with small buckets in their mouths, ready to collect candy. Revas was in the middle of them, eager to join in and play, but also trying his best to stay professional.
"Alright now, who can tell me what to say when someone opens the door after you knock?"
"Rooooaaaar!" roared a tiny cub dressed as a dinosaur. They had a fake clown nose tucked between the dino teeth.
"That... is not a bad answer. But what do you say when you want a treat?"
"Trick or treat!" yelled all the others and Rev laughed at just how eager they were.
"That's correct! And what do you say when you get the sweets?"
"Bye?" quietly whispered a little princess.
"No, no, you say thank you!" another cub joined in.
Revas nodded his head.
"We're ready to head out..." he waited for the cheers to subside. "I'll accompany your moms for part of the way and teach you how to travel safely, so stay close to me and if you're good, I might have a prize for you."
More cheers followed by a quiet:
"Is the captain coming too?"
The lion shook his head.
"Is he too afraid?" the little princess looked worried.
Revas stifled a laugh. The temptation to say 'yes' was incredible. But Sen was his friend, he couldn't do it to him.
"No" he said with a bit of disappointment in his voice. "He has to stay and protect the other lions in case any ghosts appear."
The cubs all nodded in approval, like this was a sensible answer and headed for the door, excited to start their candy hunt.

Write a story or poem involving the color orange. Pumpkins? Autumn leaves? What does that color mean to your pride?

Completed Prompt:

It was evening and, soon, it would be night. The sun was setting, and Vayde had ventured out toward what the pride had locally deemed the Rockies, where little brush or trees grew, so as to have a clear view of it.

Orange. The color always reminded him of the sun. It was comforting, like a warm blanket surrounding him on all sides. And it was a constant companion in the day time, before the world turned dark.

For someone like Vayde, who had powers of the shadows, it was strange, but he admired the sun almost more than anything else. It kept him company, kept him warm, so he felt less alone back then.

He sat down, watching the sky as it began to turn brilliant shades of orange, pink and purple, and it was the one time that he could really look at the sun, as it was creeping down below the horizon. He smiled faintly to himself.

Write a short story about one of your lions lost in a spoooooky woods. How do they ever make it out alive? Are they just exaggerating?

Completed Prompt:

With all of the prides celebrating a grand array of fall festivities, each a little different from the next, but all still bustling with excitement, all Chione wanted was some peace and quiet. Normally, she would have told Jabari about her wanting to go out for a stroll, that she wanted to get away for a bit, but he seemed... a bit excited about the celebrations, himself. So rather than telling him, knowing that he would most certainly volunteer to go with her even if he didn't want to miss out, she simply informed Nero, who sent her on her way, just with the warning to be safe.

Chione had not meant to go very far, she intended to stay within their territory, but she walked and walked and never seemed to get where she wanted to go. Instead, she soon found herself in a strange, unfamiliar forest that was covered in a low hanging fog. She could hardly see past a few paces in front of her eyes and the world around her was dark and cold. It sent a shiver down her spine.

"I am definitely lost," she said to herself, sighing. Strangely, the lioness did not particularly feel afraid, but she was actually annoyed. Rather than panicking, though, she just turned right around and began to travel the way which she had come. At least, she thought so. Hopefully, she would make it out before the others started to worry.

This was the season for... scary things, but she completely denied the possibility of something scary happening to her and, thus, remained perfectly calm. For now.

Choose a pride member and explain how they handle a rambunctious cub excited for the spooky season. Do they warn them to be cautious? Get excited with them?

Completed Prompt:

"Nero, Nero, Nero!" The little dark cub, Fallyn, bounded toward her mother figure, her tail held high in her excitement.

Nero was, as she often was, sitting near the shrine within their cavern home. But, when she heard her adopted daughter call out to her, she was quick to respond, "Yes, Little One?"

"It's almost time to celebrate, isn't it?" The cub questioned, not able to contain herself. Never before had she celebrated any fall festivities, given her young age. This was the first time.

Nero nodded her head and beamed back at the cub. "It is! We should have a lot of a fun!" Her voice held a similar enthusiasm. "Why don't we get ready for the celebration together, hm?" Of course, she had every intention of participating in all the festivities with Fallyn.

The cub nodded her head. "Yes, yes!"

"Just remember. We have to be careful, too, okay?" Nero added.

Fallyn nodded again.
