Eaglepaw nodded, then tried to copy Duskpelt, pressing his brown nose to the cool, green grass, but he inhaled a bit of a leaf. Eaglepaw sneezed, his head bouncing back from the sudden blast of air. Grinning, though, Eaglepaw stuck his nose to the dirt again, this time holding his breath as he passed through another section of dead leaves. Try as he might, however, the young pup could not remember the scent of a deer, or it's taste, for that matter. For the most part, he just smelled the smell of spring, which was not unlike the smell of slushy snow or rotting vegetation.

He shakes his head lightly "Duskpack huh?" he repeated " so what happened to it...I mean..uh no need to tell me if it too hard for you?" he said flattering his ears apology, wondering if something bad did happen to his past pack as another way he could not be here now.

That's probably why he was so sad before... "That's ok. How about you go get yourself a nice piece of fresh-kill and get some rest. Ashpaw, can you show him around camp? I got to see Willowstep."
Emberstorm limped into the medicine dog den. "Hi, Willowstep! Can you help me get this thorn out?" As her eyes adjusted to the dim light inside, she nearly tripped over Fallensnow. She gasped as she saw the pups. Seeing Fallensnow's body rising and falling as she slept peacefully, she immediately felt embarrassed. "Sorry," she whispered. She carefully stepped over her and into the back corner of the den where Willowstep was sorting her herbs.

The young pup woke up, no longer feeling tired. She turned to the pups and smiled. She couldn’t get over how cute they were. Then she saw someone nearly trip over Fallensnow. “It’s okay. She’s had a long day and needs to rest.”Daisypup said as she saw the thorn. “Ouch that looks painful. What happened?” She asked voice low so she didn’t wake Fallensnow or the pups. “Oh! My name is Daisypup.” She added, almost forgetting her manners.

Surprised at a voice from the other side of the den, Emberstorm turned around to see the pup that was found at the borders before. Emberstorm felt a little nervous talking to strangers. She whispered back, "Oh, hi! I'm Emberstorm. I ... wasn't paying attention to where I was going..." She didn't want to tell the whole story. She wasn't comfortable with saying long phrases.

“Oh. Well I’m sure Willowstep or Ashpaw could help you.” Daisypup said sitting up but never leaving the pups. She could guess most of the pack still considered her a stranger and felt a bit uncomfortable talking to her. She didn’t mind. She still had Fallensnow and the pups for company. Daisypup just went back to watching the pups while snuggling close to them to help keep them warm.

He carried the prey he caught a brought it to the freshkill pile then looked for a place to rest. He found a sunny spot and lay down, but he wasn't sleepy yet so he watched the camp.
