"The amulet?" Alhar said quietly "It-it was from Feathers. She died for me." Alhar flashed back to that terrible night when the dark elves had attacked him. They had taken Feathers and even though he had raided their caves Feathers was dead. He hadn't yet moved on, because he hadn't found a reason and even now that he had one he couldn't leave Feathers behind. He sighed, knowinng the basics of whatever questions she would ask "It's a long story." he said looking down, he couldn't find the strengh to look up,

The assassin knew immediately it was a sensitive subject and immediately her mind traveled to Mallik. She looked away, her eyes stinging again. "It's fine. I understand." She murmured, shaking her head. She folded her wings tighter against her back. Pain sparked in her chest and she sighed weakly.

.:Ike:.

He shifted uncomfortably, his eyes flickering open. He was still tired and his eyes felt heavy but he guess it was because he wasn't used to the place still. He watched the two people talking, a little startled that one a human. He looked at Leeandra, the young girl was still sitting in his lap, looking down shyly. Ike remained quiet, unsure if he should talk to the two. He looked away, towards the fire, his blue eyes half closed.

Involuntarily, Ash's fingers laced through Anamerak's as she stood beside him, following him as he followed Sae and Alhar. She had no idea what sort of vampire they were about to be encountered with, but she had no intention of letting him harm Anamerak, even if she didn't say that even to herself, it was simply a thought floating about in her head at the time.

Alhar tucked his amulet away and looked up, Sae seemed upset about something. He shoved his own sadness aside and got up from his chair and sat on the armest of her's. He he put a gental hand on her shoulder, trying to show her he was there to help with what ever problem it was. "What's wrong?" he asked, he hated for others to eb hurt and he couldn't help but remeber that he started the topic. He looked over to her, his green eye were sad, but this time for someone else.

She half-jumped when Alhar appeared next to her. He perched on her armrest, which was a feat for his size. She looked up at and and notice his concern. "Nothing." She said looking at him with guarded emotions.

.:Anamerak:.

He guided Ash to a rather large chair and sat down with her. He didn't remove his intertwinded hands from hers.

Alhar raised an eyebrow "Has the definition of nothing changed?" he after a while his humorous look changed "I know something is wrong, please don't lie to me." he whispered, his eyes sad and innocent. He had had enough people lie to him, lords form other lands, his people, even his own father. He didn't want Sae to lie to him, he didn't want her to give a reason to hate her. He stood back up, noticing she had jumped.

Ash smiled slightly as she sat beside him, the fact that their fingers were laced together feeling... right almost. She let her eyes wander around the area wondering when they would meet this 'grand' vampire that was to be helping them. She had no idea whether he would be friend or foe, but she hoped friend.

Sae looked up at into his concerned filled eyes. Why would he be concerned? She was an assassin, and he a human from another world. She didn't deserve his concern or sympathy but she would that she was a little a happy that someone cared about her. "You aren't the only person who lost someone." She said simply, her voice nor more than a whisper. She put her hand on one of his, keeping him from leaving. She didn't mind the closeness, it was just something she wasn't used to.

(Oh and Ash, they already met the vamp..>,<)

Ash smiled slightly as she sat beside him, the fact that their fingers were laced together feeling... right almost. She let her eyes wander around the area that they were now in. She hadn't really been paying attention when they had met the vampire, but she decided that since a large fight hadn't occurred, he had been friendly She finally let her gaze fall on Alhar and Sae, noticing instantly how much closer the were getting. She almost smiled at it, knowing that the girl could certainly help Alhar get over things from his past.
