Welcome to the first ever OakRidge Equestrian Horse show!
This show is hosted by my personal barn, this is no way an official event hosted by ERRP.

Whether you have come far or from close we welcome any and all members of Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project to enter!
Unfortunately at this time this event is only open to those who own a ERRP, But if your interested feel free to check the link out!





This show is hosted on the west coast near the Canadian/American border in Washington State. You are surrounded by beautiful valley of mountains and maybe if your lucky enough a view of the ocean if you feel like going on an adventure.

The time of year is fall! So heres hoping that the rain will stay away during the show. Because who wants to show wet? But keep this in mind when working on your entries..With the trees and foliage changing colours before losing all their leaves..Entried backgrounds should fit with this theme...
During this show there will only be two events, Show jumping and dressage. Both will be hosted in a large indoor area.
(Keep in mind if this show is successful there will be other shows for different events and disciplines)

To compete in the show, you will either draw or write about your horse doing one of these events. There will be two different categories, one for drawings and the other for written pieces to keep judging fair.
Now this wont be solely judged on how good your piece is, we accept all art and writing levels. So don't feel discouraged as anyone has a chance of winning. We will look at the piece in general then we will go down a select list of other things and with that tally up the final score. If this goes well enough we could possibly add beginner and advanced groups if that's something that interests the group.

|1| Only members/horses from ERRP can enter at this point in time.
|2| Traditional and digital art is allowed.
|3| You can enter as many horses as you would like, but only one entry per horse.
---> A horse is allowed to enter both Show jumping and dressage.
---> A horse can not be entered in both Drawn and Written categories at the same time.
|4| No Tracing/copying/linearts allowed for this.
|5| There is no min or Max word count for written entries
|6| Art and Writing must be your own, no Commissioning or getting other people to do this for you.


Keep in mind the season and location of this event. Points may or may not be rewarded for including that
Effort is your best friend! Biggest judging Category maybe?

For this show there will only be two events to enter in, Show jumping and Dressage. Just to keep things a easier and not to overwhelm everyone entering. As said before if all goes well different shows will be hosted with different events from both the English and Western world.



● It is highly encouraged to draw your horse and rider wearing appropriate gear, each event has information about the correct gear. Each event takes place in a certain place.

● Certain events require a rider, and will be marked out as so.

About show jumping is where horse and rider completes a course consisting of several different jumps. The horse who completes the course in the quickest amount of time and least amount of penalties (A penalty is awarded if a horse knocks a pole off the jump, or finishes the course over the time limit) wins. Show jumping tests

requirements your horse and rider must wear the correct gear for show jumping(English riding gear, Splint boots, etc) If you are competing without a rider, please make sure your horse wears correct protection against the jumps!
Entries must be drawn with at least one jump.

location show jumping takes place in the Indoor Arena.



Dressage is considered the highest expression of horse training as it requires both horse and rider to memorize a routine. There are certain movements the horse is required to perform and to do well the horse needs to be well behaved.

requirements your horse and rider need to be dressed correctly ( Dressage attire). The horse will be required to walk, trot and canter around the arena.

location This event takes place in the Indoor arena.



Choose an event that your horse would like to compete in and writing about it! Describe the atmosphere, detail how you, the rider, felt. If you're competing without a rider, describe the horse's senses.

Now the thing everyone has been waiting for! The prizes for this Show! Each event will have their own prize pool so at the end of all this there will be in total four winners,
Drawn Show jumping
Drawn Dressage
Written Show jumping
Written Dressage.

Donations are welcome, if you have pets or maybe even art you wanna offer?
If there are enough entries there will be a Best in show award..

Currently there I no deadline, trying to figure out a good period of time to let everyone finish and when I’ll have time to be able to sit down and go over entires.
