Windwhisper is a peaceful and gentle tom-cat, preferring methods that have the least amount of violent outcomes. He doesn't exactly approve of the tension forming between the two clans, especially not considering his apprentice's history. He's super patient, even with the most stubborn or argumentative of cats, he tries to develop a sense of empathy toward their situation. These calm traits are wonderful, but they come with a number of downsides. He trusts all cats far too easily, as he's way too determined to see the good in everyone. He has a hard time understanding that not all cats want to do the right thing. He's also a huge pushover and would let just about any cat bully him without a single complaint. Even when attacked, he will not fight back, as he's taken some sort of vow of peace. Some are worried that his trust and determination of life toward peace might lead him into a dangerous situation. Sometimes, his views can make him seem a little condescending, and his opinions make him appear far too naive to the lives of a clan cat, despite having been born and raised in Summitclan. Some might even view him as crazy.
history;;
Windwhisper was born to a pair of warriors, named Runningcloud and Cloverfrost. He was originally from a litter of three, but his two sisters [given the names Brightkit and Icekit] were born too weak and died not long after being born. They originally thought that Windkit had passed, too, for he made no sounds, but they found he was moving and was overall a strong kit. They quickly realized that Windkit had been born mute. He grew up adapting to his inability to speak, figuring out different ways to communicate different things to his clanmates. To this day sometimes he still struggles with it, but he continues to find creative ways to put across things that need to be told. From a young age, though, he knew that the life of a warrior wasn't for him. He was far too peaceful, playing gently with the other kits. He even had a deep curiosity for the medicine den, often finding himself listening intently to the medicine cat of the time as she explained the types of herbs and their uses. When it came time for his apprenticeship to begin, he requested that the leader of the time make him into the medicine cat's apprentice. His wish came true, a decision he has never regretted.
Windwhisper quickly proved that the job was meant for him, having little problems memorizing plants, where to find them, and what they're used for. The role, he believed, progressed him further in figuring out how to communicate with clan-mates, as he had to figure out how to tell them they have a certain injury or sickness, and how to use their medicine. His mentor was incredibly patient with him, and gave him the name "Windwhisper," for his peaceful nature. She was worried he may be offended, but he loved the name, finding it fitting. Unfortunately, his elderly mentor did eventually pass away, leaving the job in Windwhisper's paws at the age of thirty-four moons.
He took an apprentice, Nettlepaw, well aware of her rocky situation. Despite her rebelliousness, he tries his best to be patient with her, understanding the sense of betrayal toward the leader she might be feeling.
