Community guides can be authored by one person or a few but still be a resource to the community, like many already are. ^^ I feel like this conversation has delved into childish pettiness and passive aggressiveness more than anything - hence why comments and posts of the like will be reported as spam to be removed as they should be. They don't contribute anything to the thread content.

well, when the owner of a thread with a topic as big as pet values for people to value and ultimately make rule ignores all of the community, it honestly does become childish. i prefer to use the eye for an eye philosophy and i will apply it here as i see fit; act like a child, be received like a child, act like an adult, be received like an adult.

respect is always going to be had ofc, but given how this conversation has gone, i imagine it's not only hard for me to take this thread seriously, but others as well.

I believe they meant that it would be for community use and they’d try their best to include input on the contents of it, not whether or not they should be able to make it. ^^ hopefully that clears up some of your frustrations?

i apologize if some of my opinions seem harsh, but being gentle on the last thread only dragged the argument. i'll respect this thread, but i won't follow it; which will ultimately eventually make trading harder

I'd like to see more '09 event vrs on the new list, like the valentine Malks and stuff as I remember them all being VR when I joined in '11. Tbh id say any '11+ VR should be added, ones that were VR on release beige higher than ones that turned in general, with demand where applicable like the blue eyed gsd, gold plated metal dog and things? Id also love to see any original VR, like August pps, July Lion, may Lion, green robot rat and others on a new list, placement dependant on demand and general availability/trade evidence.

I think it may be beneficial to maybe segregate rats and such, like by paragraph, to show that by rarity they are equal, but as not many users actively trade for them so not everyone will do a 1:1 trade for an equal rarity pet.

I also feel that a lot of the old list gaps need shrunk down, I think that would significantly help trading value, like none of this 2 sorbs for a non when one sorb has went omgsr, I feel that's evidence to show that sorbs are worth more than believed and that holding onto those ideas would afflict the list with previous problems the old one faced. I don't know how that would be done, but with the thread running for statistics it'll be easier to figure out fairer gaps for pets - though I'm unsure if that threads still active 😅

5. This is not a rarity list, as I don't have any way to know how many pets there are exactly on my own, nor am I making this list for that purpose.

I'm honestly yet to see anything potentially malicious come out of OP's mouth, so I don't see the passive aggressiveness as at all warranted. They've been incredibly diplomatic imo. The hostility has stemmed from people refusing to accept that people will naturally disagree on this subject matter. If she wants to put her foot down and say that this arguing over what the thread should or shouldn't be, she's entitled to do so entirely.

edit: Id clarify this isn't directed at specifically you, but a lot of people on this thread due to the general conversation's direction. I think it might be a good idea for a moderator to step in at this point and clean the thread.

Honestly the original thread was a mess xD hundreds of pages of people arguing like this because people don't want to accept people will fall down a side or another


Id be happy to see a thread without store pets and for store pets, like Raven suggested - though does it necessarily have to be this resource? It's handy to compare stores and non-stores.

i agree with this. store pets are also some of the most frequently demand shifting pets, so it's very difficult to put any kind of set value on them. especially 2010 and below, they only continue to increase in demand and value.

i agree with this. store pets are also some of the most frequently demand shifting pets, so it's difficult to put even a stable demand value on them. especially 2010 and below, they only continue to increase in demand and value.

Idk, hasn't Skelebun been pretty stable since shortly after the rarity increase for instance?

I wonder if it would be worth making a master-post of different people's interpretations of the value of different pets - so it's not just one person's value. Similar idea to how there are different perceptions of value in C$ for uncommons here. I honestly would really like that. So, you could just jump to the pet in question and see what half a dozen or so people value it at as opposed to one set value.

some pets like the skelebun, are stable, but seeing as the skelebun is the most sought after pet at the moment, it can't go much higher than it already is without seeming utterly ridiculous.

I appreciate seeing this, that helps a lot! I'll look into all of these as we work our way down the list. Expect some polls on this as we get down to the lower parts of the list c;

Store Lists?
I never thought about excluding stores from the list, that could be a good idea. I'm not sure though, because then, things like the Orange Cerb and highly sought after things could be ninja'd from people coming back after a while. That's all I'm worried about there. What do you think though?
If it comes down to updating fast enough, again, I'm here daily to take care of it c;
