snail trouble

Postby ordinary people » Sun Oct 06, 2019 9:42 pm

quite random, but my dog bullied a snail and crushed some of it's shell. its now happily moving around in the Tupperware I put him in through the crack in it's shell but I feel bad. anyone know how to care for a snail? or should I just put him outside and wish him the best?

I'd put him outside. Lots of animals die or become iller from the stress of human
contact or being removed from their habitat.

thanks for the advice, definitely the biggest option right now because I know nothing of caring for a snail and I don't know anyone who does. I actually found him inside around 30 minutes before my dog found him and let him stay on my window until the heavy rain outside calmed down. stupidly, I forgot he was there and left my pup unsupervised. assuming that he came from the back garden, im thinking of placing him inside a plant pot or something with some food outside..?

I'd put him where you found him unless it's in a walkway or
where a predator is likley to find him.
