Solaris listened to the pup as they walked, his tag still in motion. As she finished speaking he turned to face her with a broad smile. "No need to feel bad. You can't know what you havent been taught.--There is nothing wrong with a pup not knowing something, Id be happy to show and teach you a few things; that is, if you want me to." He mused a little more serious than he normally was. "There is never anything wrong with asking for help or asking to learn, any wolf who scolds you for doing so is no more mature than a wet pup still on milk." He blinked and then paused, finding the edges of the deer trail. They were still in Bloodmoon territory, only a mile or two from camp, and hopefully safe from any dangers. "I don't know if we will find any deer but there should at least be the scent of them left from this morning." He smiled.

Kali lowered her head into a respectful bow before gently setting the rabbit down. "Yes ma'am, I woke up early with the birds. It seemed a good time to find rabbit, I will tell the next hunting patrol where I found their nest." She said calmly. Kali had not been born in Shadow pack; only joining them a few months prior, but she had learned the territory well by now. As long as Nova was protected by the pack while she was gone hunting she had no complaints. She preferred to complete her duties and tasks quickly though, not wanting to waste any time she could spend with her daughter or seem lazy.

A spark of vexation would not go unnoticed, she never knew why she even bothered with these pathetic 'dogs'. The bitch's golden eyes narrowed upon hearing Ghost's reply, she would also flatten her ears out to the side and let her lip curl up in distaste. “And I guess that would be better! Right?! If I were dead, I’d be less trouble too you!” Naomi didn't even fight the urge to roll her eyes, "Better? You'd be just as useless dead as you are alive, it wouldn't make a difference," she would say, with a low growl teasing at the depths of her throat. “I know you're worried and all, but nobody got hurt,” Naomi would turn to the second beta, who, in her opinion, was a lousy choice for a second in command.

Naomi cackled in response, yet again, "Worried?" she inquired. "The idiot could have gotten killed, and then we'd have a slew of loners thinking they can pick us off one by one. Is that what you want, Erebos?" the growl rumbled throughout her cords, "Go on, coddle him some more," said the beta. Finally, Ghost had decided to run off. Again. “Should, uh... Should I go after him?” asked Corentin. Naomi pinned her ears against her skull in irritation. "Go if you want, Shade wouldn't want that sorry excuse of a wolf dead. Speaking of which, I'll report this to him - both the loner and Ghost's behavior. Erebos, go with Corentin, just in case." And with this, she headed off back into the main camp to find Shade.

Once she arrived, she managed to catch the two alphas, and their rat of a son, exploring the territory. Her first attempt at shouting for her alpha, calling him by name, didn't seem to work, so instead - she ran towards the trio. “Your mother is right, so while out here make sure to stay close. There are also foxes, and normally they’re no threat to an adult unless in a small group.” Rudely, Naomi stepped right in between Shade and Kayla - practically shoving her out of the way without any regard. "Shade," she would bark. "We managed to find Ghost, or, rather, he found us. But he says he encountered a loner, we're not sure how close to the border. And he said it wasn't a threat but when we questioned him, he ran off. What do you propose?"

Kayla was almost taken by surprise when Naomi suddenly appeared out of nowhere. "Oh, hello again Naomi." she said. "Ghost ran off again eh? What a shame really." She looks back at Shade, deciding to let him give the order. She knows full well that Naomi doesnt like her, but she still tries to treat her with respect. After all she is one of the betas for a reason.

Shade glanced over to see Naomi, listening to her words. A concerned expression appeared on his face, “that silly pup.....” He would say it to anyone, since he was suppose to keep it a secret. However Ghost was his little brother, which was probably why he was so easy on him. “It’s up to him then.... if he chooses to return then alright, if he chooses to leave....” he paused turning away, remaining silent. “Kayla will you take Kade back to the pack camp? Naomi how do you feel about helping me find Ghost? Or would you prefer to stay at camp to? Either way I’ll accept you decision.” He spoke not wanting to waist anymore time, he lacked the ability to hide his concern.

Ghost’s ears were pulling back as he heard her words, he didn’t slow his pace. He kept running, not looking back. If he was so useless then there was no point right? He slowed as he smelled the edge of BloodMoon borders, hesitating. If he crossed this would that make him a rouge? He glanced back twoards the pack’s direction, averting his gaze to the ground. He’d miss them, however what Naomi started earlier. It really got to him, he knew she was hard on everyone. However he wasn’t a wolf who could handle the scolding, he would either lay down taking orders. Or run, fighting back wasn’t an option for him. He looked up, gazing out the breeze blowing through his fur. “Maybe leaving would be good for me..” he muttered, hesitantly. He stepped crossing the boarder, beginning to pad off at a normal pace. He had kept running for a while so even if they gave chase, they’d never cross right? He thought for a moment, shaking the idea away as he kept walking.

Mercury padded over to the deer trail, lowering his muzzle. He sniffed, and analyzed the markings. “It’s fresh, could have been to long since it was here. It doesn’t look like anything scared it, so I’m guessing we could catch up to it. Would you two like to find it? I mean we aren’t on a hunting patrol, however ill be okay with it.” He stared waiting for their response.

Kayla listens to Shade reply to Naomi's question, hoping Ghost will be okay. Upon hearing Shade asking her if she could take Kade back to the pack camp she nods, agreeing that it is a good idea. "Thats probably for the best." she said. "Good luck and be careful Shade. Come on Kade, lets go back to the pack. We can continue showing you around the territory later." She gently noses Kade in the direction towards the pack camp, following behind him to make sure he stays safe along the way.

Naomi left little time for anyone to disagree, leaving Corentin with Erebos to track Ghost down all over again. The very air felt lighter and fresher with Naomi out of the way. She... certainly had a way with wolves. Corentin allowed himself a sigh that communicated something between resignation and relief.
"Well, Erebos, want to get going? He can't have gone far."
Ghost's scent was as fresh as could be and painted a clear trail straight toward him. Corentin was already sniffing the ground, filling his nose with the scent and focusing on the task at hand.

"Perfect." Needle responded to Kali's plan to pass her information along. "Until then, feel free to take your leave. Do as you please."
Needle's voice was soft and nurturing as she spoke. Clearly, she trusted Kali to decide how best to practice self care as she saw fit. Indeed, a hunting party would be needed before long, but since half her pack was already on a border patrol and the other half was rather disorganized at the moment, there was no one to send. No one, that is, except herself, but Needle thought it wise to wait for Mercury's return. If they found signs of large prey, then she would likely participate in the hunt. If not, then it would a small prey day again.

Kaj waited patiently while Mercury investigated the trail and made his decision as to how to proceed. When Mercury proposed going after the herd on the spot, Kaj could not help but crack a rogue-ish grin. Hunting large prey was always an adventure, and not one he was eager to miss. He lashed his tail back and forth, wagging his determination, and only paused to make eye contact with Lowell, very much expecting his friend to feel similarly.
"You're going to make me regret betting my first catch, Mercury, but... I'm in."

Becka was so busy talking to herself, or trying to, at least, that she hardly noticed how near she was to some dramatic developments within the Blood Moon Pack. She carried on, muttering to herself, until she heard the faint sound of pawsteps. Instantly, she fell silent. There was no telling who could have approached, but she was not particularly worried for a few reasons. Firstly, she was in unclaimed territory. That meant that anyone out here was almost certainly a loner, like herself, and unlikely to get territorial if they discovered her. On top of that, they did not seem to be making any effort to hide themselves, which meant their intentions had nothing to do with stalking Becka.
Upon realizing these clues, she relaxed a little and sniffed the air curiously. Perhaps this was one of the local loners she had run into, and she could inquire about what sort of news they might be able to share. However, the scent she discovered was familiar in an entirely different way.
"Ghost? Is that you? What are you doing out here?"

Confused by his lack of leadership, Naomi narrowed her eyes. It might have been obvious that Naomi wanted him to get upset about one of their pack members just bolting, but Shade did not. Instead, he was rather calm and collected about this. Now Naomi was torn between acting like she really cared, or acting as though she didn't. It wasn't really up to her if they should go after him or not, and she was confused as to why - Shade, the one who sent them to find him - was okay with him making the decision to leave. Lowering her ears slightly, she continued. "I, uh, I sent Corentin and Erebos after him... but if anyone knows how to talk to Ghost it's probably you," Honestly, she wasn't even sure what the hell she was doing. "I must say, I'm surprised you're asking me what we should do..."

Shade waited for his mate and pup to leave, before glancing at Naomi. Listening to her words, and watching her body language. “Well I trust you, that’s one reason I suppose.” He muttered begging to walk the direction Naomi had come from. “Don’t worry, I’m sure he’s just having one of his moments.... ever since he was a pup it was like that, mother was always worried.” He stated, with a sad smile. Turning to glance back at Naomi, “I know he can be hard to handle... however he’s a trouble wolf, ever since he was little... fitting in was hard for him.” He said before continuing to head in to his destination.

Ghost continued further out, his pace slow long as he grew further from the pack. His thoughts were running a mile a minute, as he wasn’t sure. Should he turn back? His ears shot up in alert as he heard a voice, relaxing as he saw it was Becka. “Oh... B..Becka...” he muttered, averting his gaze. “I uh... l..left...” he stated keeping his gaze to the ground, would she get angry at him? Scold his actions, try to correct him?

Mercury chuckled, hunting was always a treat. His expression showed determination and excitement. Hearing Kaj’s words, he began following the trail and scent. “Well maybe you’ll find a rouge stalking the herd? Who knows, out here you could find anything.” He stated, continuing down the trail.

"That might be a little too exciting, if you ask me." Kaj chuckled.
He made a point to keep his voice lowered. Deer had good hearing and while he was currently far enough away to get away with a normal conversational level of noise, he wanted to avoid getting caught up in his chatting and accidentally scare the herd. Kaj was still a young wolf, but he had been hunting for enough seasons to have that much sense, at least.

It was easy to see that something was bothering Ghost. He was acting differently from before. Becka noted the stuttering, and the way he avoided eye contact. Her brow furrowed, both in concern and confusion. Something must have happened since she had left him at the stream, and it must have been serious if Ghost had run all the way out here. Suddenly, it hit her.
"Ghost... Did I get you in trouble?"
To her knowledge, Ghost's meeting with her was the sort of thing that could have resulted in some serious conflict with another packmate. She had a hard time thinking of what could have possibly happened that was so bad in such a short time.
"Hey..."
She leaned forward and gently nudged his cheek with her nose. Becka hoped the gesture was comforting, but she was not sure if it really was. Sometimes she had a hard time knowing exactly what to do in these situations. It was one of the drawbacks of being a loner and missing out on having very much social interaction.
"It's alright. Just tell me what happened."

Maple’s fur stood when she said pups, her body tensing up. “What about them?” She said her voice starting to shake, would she have to fight. This wolf wasn’t threatening before, however who knows how they’d react to pups.

Lowell’s tail wagged excitedly, if they were busy hunting he’d probably win. However his mind drifted off, to the idea of hunting. He followed behind keeping his paw steps as silent as possible. His tail was swaying, which he attempted to calm it down.
