A true clan not to be messed with, Feralclan has no limits. Each kit is born with an ability, an extremely minor one. Something so insignificant that it couldn't help in any way. That is, unless they evolve it. Powers can expand, grow into something so much more. How? Simple. Training and practicing does not increase your power, absorbing other cat's does. Once a cat is slain, the slayer shall steal their soul, stopping them from ever reaching Starclan as well as giving the murderer a slightly stronger power, depending on who they killed. This practice had become extremely common within the clan, to the point where apprentices must be wary of their mentors and medicine cats have almost no one to send them omens. Enemies within the clan are common and to have all your family members still alive is almost impossible. In fact, Starclan might as well not even exist anymore. The leader of Feralclan, Sandstar, has slain so many, that it is no surprise they had become leader. Their power exceeded anything imaginable, letting them dispose of traitors at the flick of a claw. That is, until recently. Sandstar's body was found in the forest, clearly murdered by another cat. Now, there is a cat lurking within the clan, their power greatly increased by the murder, waiting to tear the clan apart.
Can the clan come together to find the threat? Or is it already too late?

Each kit is born with a very small power (ability to heal sore paws, sense where puddles are etc.) and they can increase the ability of these powers by killing other cats (sensing puddles to sensing prey to sensing cats to basically being able to see without any senses to being able to see and hear anything) but the increase in power is decided by the power of who they kill.

The precious leader, Sandstar, who had incredibly strong ability has just been found dead in the forest, meaning there is a cat in the clan with a now extremely powerful ability who is seeking to tear the clan apart.

Murder is extremely common, even among mentors and apprentices. Though they are rare, queens have murdered their own kits before as well. Every cat must be wary of the others around them, friendships are suspicious and true friends are even rarer.
It is not uncommon for kits to have one or both parents dead, and to have both still alive is seen as incredibly lucky. Having your littermates alive as well is even luckier.

Becoming an elder is rare and seen as lazy. Elders don't do anything for the clan and are easy prey, meaning cats normally prefer not to become an elder. Though elders normally do have the strongest powers (besides the leader, deputy and possibly the medicine cat) it's better to use this to challenge the leader or deputy rather than sit around all day waiting for someone to kill you. Several cats have tried poisoning themselves with herbs so they can go to Starclan instead of being murdered and never finding their way.

Most high-ranking cats are powerful, the only exception being medicine cats. While normally medicine cats have an above-average power, if there is only one left then it is an unspoken rule not to kill them, since there would be no medicine cat to take their place.

Killing pregnant queens is controversial among the clan. Some argue against it since if every queen is killed there would be no kits. Some argue for it, since a queen caries multiple kits than killing the queen and her kits would give them more power. All in all, to become a queen is a risky move, it can ensure your safety or cause your doom. Though some go against it, most cats don't see a problem in killing your own kits as a way to gain more power and escaping the nursery.

Feralclan lives in a dense pine forest on a mountain, often covered in a thin layer of mist. There is a river down the mountain, not too far from the camp. The camp is located in a bit of cleared land surrounded by bracken.

Frostpaw stretched, careful not to wake anyone up as she exited the apprentice's den. She paused a moment, feeling the sun on her fur before glancing around to make sure nobody was watching her. As a light breeze ruffled her fur, the apprentice padded over to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a robin. The news of Sandstar's death was still fresh in everyone's minds, and Frostpaw couldn't help but wonder how Rainstar would turn out. After all, Morphstrike didn't seem like he would attack Rainstar anytime soon and killing him wouldn't give any benefit to anyone. She sighed, taking another bite out of the robin, still not letting her guard down for a second. The robin was bland in her mouth, making her pause to quickly check for deathberries before continuing.

As a morning light shone into the nursery, Stormkit jumped up, ready to wake up the others. Not wasting time to groom herself or get fresh-kill, the she-cat had a quick stretch. She took a quick glance at the fresh-kill pile, wondering whether or not she should get some for her friends before deciding to wait for them to wake up. "Wake up!" The kit yelled, poking Hazelkit and Gloomkit with her paws. Even though it might be a bit early, Stormkit always loved waking up the other kits in the nursery. As she continued to prod the other two kits with her front paws as she tried to wake them up faster.

Birdtalon woke with a start, jittery as always. She quickly trotted out of the den, eager to leave the camp. As the warrior quickly grabbed a squirrel, she heading out of the camp to escape her clanmates. Even though it was irrational, Birdtalon couldn't help but feel nervous around her clanmates, especially since she knew that there was some cat lurking within the clan who had murdered Sandstar. The she-cat climbed up a nearby tree, eating her squirrel quietly in the top branches. The branch slightly shook under her weight, causing Birdtalon to pause before continuing her squirrel.

The black tom woke from his light slumber at the crackling noise of a leaf being stepped on. Morphstrike flashed one eye quickly, checking to see if any cat had approached him, but found it was nothing more than his own foot adjusting in the bedding. The newly appointed deputy sighed with both immense relief and a deep sadness. After being bestowed such an honorable positon had its benefits, but came with the cost of many cats after his life and powers.

Luckily, with Sandstar’s death still fresh in their minds, the cats of Feralclan had left him alone- at least for now. Padding into the center of camp, Morphstrike breathed in the fresh air before sitting down and watching his other clanmates, waiting for Rainstar’s orders. Quietly, he wondered how well he could manage both deputy duties and training his apprentice, Blackpaw. Flicking his scarred ears, the cat decided that he would prioritize the younger tom, even if it meant neglecting his duties to the clan.

The bengal molly yawned as she rose from her nest, stretching out her thin legs as she gazed intently around her. She often wondered why she didn’t just kill the clan mates around her in their sleep, but most cats seemed opposed to such things. Perhaps they just wanted to be safe at one point, even if it was only while they rested in the world of dreams.

Exiting her den, the warrior scanned the camp for any early morning fights before sneaking over to the fresh kill pile and picking a small mouse out. Without hesitation, Spiderbreeze quickly consumed the meal and then padded over to a stone where she could clean her face a bit. As she groomed herself, she considered her next plan of attack. She had long ago decided that her own apprentice, Frostpaw, should be her next target, however the young feline’s invisibility made her tricky to catch. Though detailed plans would not work well with her ability, Spiderbreeze decided to scheme a bit anyways- seemingly day dreaming, but remaining uncannily alert.

Hazelpaw groaned lightheartedly as a familiar paw poked him repeatedly. Stretching, he opened his eyes and smiled at his friend, before yawning good morning. “Morning Stormkit! Thanks for waking me up, I’d probably sleep for moons without you!” the grey tabby giggled playfully as he rose from his nest. Though he didn’t like getting up early, he knew they had a much better chance of actually getting a decent meal when they did so, and for that he was grateful. Stormkit could easily get a meal for herself and leave the others to rot, but instead she helped them out, and for that he felt forever in her debt.

The young kitten soon began joining Stormkit in her quest to awaken their friend. “Gloomkit! Gloomkit! Wake up!

Foxfire shivered as she stepped towards the center of camp. It had only been a few moons since her last kill, and she already felt pressured to commit another one, especially now that Sandstar was dead. With the shift of power, other cats could attack her at any time, and she needed to grow stronger.

Quietly, she examined the fresh kill pile, but decided to wait until after she finished her daily tasks. Besides, it would be safer for her to eat prey she caught herself than risk eating possibly tampered with food.

Sleep was incredibly difficult for the white furred tom. If one of the other apprentices had a bad nightmare, which in a world where their lives were constantly in jeopardy came often, the pain he felt at such negative emotions would quickly awaken him. Sometimes, so much anger and sadness would overwhelm him, and he would wander to a nearby tree and sleep up in the branches, where the feelings of others would not disturb him.

Luckily, last night he has caught enough sleep as not to be desperately tired when he finally awoke. Stretching, he adjusted himself and watched the clan through the entrance of the den, but waited to exit, nervous for what would await him. When the clan was bustling and awake, all he could feel was anger, pain and suffering as loved ones were constantly loved and lost.

Gloomkit awoke to two sets of paws repeatedly prodding her side. Agitated at the sudden wake-up all, she flattened her ears and hissed at Stormkit and Hazelkit to get them to back off (though, being just a kit, she didn't sound or look very threatening).
"Okay! Okay! I'm up!" she mewed in annoyance. She got to her paws and bushed out her pelt to shake off the dust, before sitting and beginning to groom herself. If her friends were going to keep waking her up like this, she at least wanted to look presentable before she had to do anything.

When Eveningpaw awoke in the early dawn, as she usually did, her mentor Falleneye and Looncall were both still asleep, as they usually were. Well, technically she didn't know if they were actually asleep or just somewhere else, as she never really bothered to check. Most of the time she just wanted to be out of the medicine den as soon as possible when no other cats were there. She could never really relax with Falleneye around.
The young molly padded out into the camp and looked around for a bit before deciding to head into the forest, where she could do some early morning training by herself. This included both hunting and fighting training, using skills that she picked up by watching the warrior apprentices every time she passed their sessions. She told herself that by doing this she was being as prepared as possible for the worst.
