history (optional): Still being quite young, Nightshade is a bit despised by the more experienced cats in her clan. She can’t recall the way things were before, when medicine cats spoke intimately with their ancestors, and some even foolishly blame the youth like her for such a tragedy. Her mentor, the previous medicine cat named Whisperleaf, was a long lived tom with vast knowledge of the times before starclan became distant and many came to him for advice. And so, when he eventually succumbed to old age, Nighshade was quickly renamed and shoved into the position. Though she was clanborn, her lack of understanding of the times when the two clans were five has made her question whether or not she is worthy of such a position, especially compared to her wise and kind predecessor.
personality: Nighshade is a brilliant medicine cat with a vast knowledge of herbs and healing, but she lacks the kindness and social ability often associated with cats of her duty. She’s a tad snarky, especially when older cats tell her she’s not doing something properly. Regardless, she’s a valuable asset to her clan due to her brilliance and medical prowess.
