He carefully listened to what the older medicine dog told him, giving some berries to the soon-to-be-mother, watching as she ate them when walked away to find some good stick, which could not be too strong to hurt her teeth, but not too weak either, which could break. After finding the stick he placed it near the dam, so she could take it easy when the birthing starts.

She nodded to Wilowstep and eaten the berries she was offered her to eat, she takes a deep breaths and calmed down, looking at Daisypup "Don't worry about me, I will be fine, but what about you? Are you sure you want to see this? it can be...disgusting and bloody?" she said wondering if the young she-dog could have courage enough to see the soon arriving show. She nodded to Ashpaw who brought her some strong stick to bite when the pain hit her the most.

Eaglepaw followed Emberstorm, being as quiet as he could. When she offered him a go at the rabbit, he could've thanked her forty times over. But I have to catch this rabbit, he thought excitedly. So Eaglepaw slowly passed Emberstorm, being careful to avoid stepping on anything that would alert the rabbit. Closer... closer... Eaglepaw lunged, as Duskpelt had told him to, and though he got a hold, it wasn't a good one. The rabbit had seen him last second, and had tried to run, though too late, and even though Eaglepaw had missed a killing blow, he had a hold on the rabbit's leg. He felt it frantically pawing at his muzzle, and dropped the rabbit in surprise, more than pain. The rabbit, with a broken and nearly severed off leg, was in no condition to run and sat there, looking stunned.

Duskpelt walked quietly, her head hanging low as she observed her apprentice, smiling. She watched his skill, he seemed to be more gentle than hostile, which was his personality, but it would do him no good. Her ears perked as he dropped the rabbit, nodding seeing it didn’t care to move and feeling a tinge of pity for it. She padded over, standing on the other side of it in case it were to flee, ”very good stealth and skill, nice lunge too, just make sure you put your weight on your hind paws next time, they can feel it in the ground, other than that-you did good Eaglepaw. Now, finish it off” she admitted, it was strange saying a compliment, her personality didn’t fit the niceness in her tone.

Willowstep sighed, the small dog had practically vanished. But to where? She sighed, trotting back to the den hurriedly-and just in time. She set the herbs aside for him after, looking up at Fallensnow. ”Alright Fallensnow, there’s two ways to do this, you can either go right off the bat and push like your life depends on it, but it would cause some glaring pain, the herbs numbed majority of what is to come but it will definitely be felt” she said, ”or there’s no the other way, we can take this as slow as you need to, it wouldn’t hurt as much and it would be less forceful, so you’re choice, either get it done and over with quick or take it easy” she offered secondly. Ashpaw, whichever decision she decides you need to Ben ready, grab some extra herbs and the mossball with the soothing ointment” she instructed, ”and you Daisypup, are very brave, a big help in a situation like this” she smiled.

Daisypup smiled at Willowstep then turned to Fallensnow. “So what do you want to do, Fallensnow?” She asked as she remembered Willowstep’s two options. “Do it quick and be in a bit of pain or do you think you feel like going slow?” The pup asked. If Daisypup had to make that decision ever, she would definitely go for a more pain free option. But right now she was here to help Fallensnow get through this. Either way she knew Fallensnow was having the pups very soon.

Eaglepaw nodded, listening to his mentor's advice, before quickly re-grabbing the rabbit and snapping it's neck. He felt pride at Duskpelt's compliment, though he knew his grab at the rabbit hadn't been perfect. "Thanks, Duskpelt!" he said cheerfully, his thin brown tail wagging excitedly. "Do you think there's more?" Eaglepaw said hopefully, his face alight with interest.

He nodded to the medicine dog, getting some herbs and moss near, so he didn't need to get fat to get them when needed.

She looked at Willowstep "I take the first one, one hit and all-out, it's painful, but the slowest way is even more painful" she said to her. She smiled at Daisypup "I do like that you stay here with me, but if ever you start to feel bad or something, I don't be angry or anything if you leave the den" she said to her.

“I won’t leave you. Besides if I left you I’d only be thinking about you and the pups. I’d worry if I left you. But I might not watch everything. You can do this Fallensnow just take a deep breath and go for it.” Daisypup said, smiling wishing she could be more useful. Ashpaw seemed so helpful with herbs.

She nodded to Daisypup, with a smile then turned to the two medicine dogs "Alright I am ready, they seem to become very impatient so I guess it's the time" she said to them with a deep gasp. She tried to be strong, but the pain was hitting her, even if the herbs did help her a little bit, but only a little bit.
