Aeolus
Aeolus returns Arizona's smile and nudges her affectionately on the side with his nose. He always was an amiable kind of wolf, looking to make friends well before considering if harshness could advance his rank. He looks back to the alphas when Lykos speaks, his head tilting slightly to the side as he absorbs what is said. The thought of standing up to a bear is completely ludicrous in the skinny wolf's mind, but the thought of seeing Daimon try to do so kindles his imagination a bit. Oh I can see it now, here comes a big grizzly snorting and slobering out of the woods, and Daimon just puffs himself up and snarles at him: "Don't you dare talk that way to me, you cur!" He nearly chuckles at the thought. If 'ol grizz didn't hightail it into the woods laughing, what's left of Daimon would be stuck between his toes for a week. Smiling a little half smile now, Aeolus nods to Lykos, pleased by his alpha's insight. "You are right, of course." He says, "His fierceness makes him a valuable ally. I just need to learn how not to piss him off." The humans are a different matter though... They are strange, and his fierceness might only incite them, like kicking a beehive. I think he may turn out to be our best weapon against Valion though. There are few who could stand against him when he has his mind set. I just hope that mind keeps us in focus as friends. His smile fades a bit and Aeolus sinks to the ground, organizing his paws in a comfortable position to continue the conversation.

Anastasia paddled her way around the pool happily, letting her mind run free. Occasionally, water would rush over her face from all the splashing she was making and she would have to recover. Soon after she had recoverd from the last one, she heard a wolf behind her. She scrambled to look towards the wolf that now was staring at her.

She soon recognized the wolf as one of the fighters, Aristide, and almost just as soon realized she should offer him a greeting and pay her respects. She quickly paddled her way to the shore before answering him, and most certainly waited a bit before shaking the water from her coat. "Oh, hello Aristide. I wasn't expecting your company, that is, if you are interested in staying." she said as she bowed her head some to show she knew where she stood in the ranks towards him. I wonder how long he saw me acting like an idiot... she thought to herself. "Sorry that I couldn't have greeted you more properly, if you excuse me for a moment..." she added before walking away from him, far enough that when she shook her coat, no water would splash on him. She quickly shook the water from her coat and walked back towards the male wolf. "It is rather hot today and the water is perfectly cool," She said. She couldn't help but show her excitment for some company, she was exhuastingly bored.

Just then, she noticed that yet another wolf had joined them, Lason {or Iason?}. She watched as the fighter caught up to them, "Its fine with me if you join us, I was just cooling off in the water," she explained to him and greeted him just as she did Aristide. "Looks as if you don't have any important duties at the moment, correct?" She asked to strike up a conversation. She lowered her eyes as soon as she realized how rude she sounded, she wanted to add a 'sorry' but stayed quiet.

Gravity, don't mean to much to me, I'm who I've got to be....

Rowan's tail swished from side to side, while her sleek fur gleamed in the leaking sunlight. Her eyes rested upon Daimon once again before she trailed off in thoughts. Her amber brown eyes settled softly onto Delta's own, in an excited glance before she looked away. Now she wasn't looking at anything in particular, just staring. She was staring into the distance and thinking to herself, of the hunt later that evening. Wondering if Dima the Alphess would lead them. She also wondered if Daimon was going to dismiss them very soon. Her mind also wandered towards Aeolus. She wondered what he was doing now, and if he had gotten over Daimons rant. It must have been scary, though she could imagine having a higher rank must be quite frustrating. Finally she stood and waited for Daimon to let them go, her tail swishing once again from side to side.

We all have emptiness inside, we all have answers to find, but you can't win this fight....

Draven's dark velvet ears pricked forward all of a sudden as he heard something. The splashing of water. He figured it was probably Viron or the Alpha, Cisco, but as the noise progressed, he became more and more curious. His ears flicked back then forth, the straight upward. For a moment he paid no attention to where the alpha or Viron were, and simply trudged towards the splashing. It sounded vigorous, which made Draven a bit cautious. A low growl began to form in his throat as he glanced in the direction. His lips curled back ever so slightly, but soon enough he found it was indeed another wolf, a she-wolf. It was Anastasia. Soon enough, Aristide was there as well, conversing with Anastasia.

Draven stopped himself and watched the two before nodding a greeting to Anastasia and Aristide. He stayed quite, not feeling up to starting a conversation with them- now, if they wanted to talk to him that would be fine. He lowered his head slightly to take another sip of water, and stand in the refreshing, cool, substance.

: Daimon. Sentinel. Beta:

: Daimon nodded, slowly, as if in self-agreement, ear twitching.Standing up with a yawn, he nodded at the two females. " Thank you for your time and honesty, you two may go," he dismissed, heading back before them into the circle of his packmate's, shoving Aeolus aside. Rethinking his action, as he was now in a reasonable better mood, he blinked, murkily conveying a " Excuse Me" with his gaze. Then, moving on, he sidled up to Lykos, one of the few wolves in his pack he felt more able to trust. :

Aeolus
Aeolus doesn't see Daimon's approach and is nearly knocked over when the much heavier wolf bumps into him. He splays out his forelegs, just finding a balance before being rolled over. A tiny little grow is pulled from his mouth and his head whips around to see what just bumped him. Aeolus immediately regrets letting out that noise when he sees Daimon, and cowers, putting his nose to his paws and pulling back. But when nothing happens, he blinks and licks his lips still showing submission to Daimon but not terror this time. Finally he nods to him, acknowledging the unspoken, just glad not to be threatened again.

: Daimon. Sentinel. Beta:

: Daimon nearly burst out laughing as the wimpy little hunter nearly sprawled onto his sharp muzzle with the slight nudge. Better watch over him when it gets windy- He'll blow right away! Daimon thought to himself with a silent chortle. Sitting down, he nodded a bit at Aeolus. Fidgeting, he finally managed to choke out, "Sorry," in a strangled manner. :

(Seems most of the Valion wolves have left. Sentinel's job may be easier than expected... )

[Sentinel - Hunter]

Delta watched Daimon leave with a strange look in her eye, having the feeling that that was not the last she would be seeing of him. The initial snaps had been well worth the outcome of the situation.

Turning back towards Rowan, Delta nipped at the other female’s ear, feeling playful. “Let’s go join the others to pass the time before we hunt.” She said, mischievous. “Last one back is fat and ugly!” With that she kicked up her paws and headed back towards the others, expecting to get bowled over or outrun by Rowan at any moment. The others were still as they had left them and it seemed as if Aeolus and Daimon were having another interaction of sorts. She was still too far away to tell for sure, though, and far too preoccupied by the thought of getting attacked by the other hunter.

Aeolus
Aeolus smiles at Daimon, his tail thumping the ground twice when Daimon manages his stifled apology. "No worries, Second." He says, no trace of harm in his voice, but inwardly he is concerned. Daimon's now seemingly fickle nature worries him. Well, I have to say, I like this wolf a lot better than the one I saw this morning... But what exactly did he do with the other one? Is he out there waiting to sneak up on me? Aeolus has trouble understanding wolves who act strangely, and Daimon is proving himself to be just one of those types. Being of a lower rank, he has a great appreciation for leadership and is most comfortable with routine and regular orders.

Aeolus rests his head on his paws, large hazel eyes looking over the higher ranking wolves of the pack, his mind beginning to ease a bit as his thoughts wander off back to the plans for tonight's hunt. Stalking and chasing down prey is by far one of his favorite things and the thought of going out with the entire pack is thrilling. Oh, I do hope it is a good hunt! I mean, of course I want to catch something... We need the food. But I just hope it isn't TOO easy. I would love a good chase. He rearranges his paws, picking his head up for a moment as he feels the same restlessness that over took him this morning creeping back into his legs. He stretches his neck, nonchalantly checking on the position of the sun, not wanting to look too overanxious. Damm, just past the highest point... It will be awhile still. He lets out a whispery sigh and plops his head back on his paws, doing his best to be patient.

[ Althea, Omega of the Valion Pack ]

Yawning and opening her eyes, the Omega sighed. Her fur was already beginning to be soaked with sweat. Great.
Quickly hopping to her feet, eager to go swimming and cool down, Althea padded out of her den with her neutral expression; her large brown eyes had a happy sparkle to them, but her mouth had nothing to it. Slowly stalking towards the fresh, cold water, a few gathering wolves could be spotted, including Anastatia, Aristide and Iason.
Stopping at the pool of water, Althea smiled and dove into the liquid, staying under the cool, refreshing pond a few moments before surfacing. She came up with a smile, looking onto the land where the other wolves were. "Good 'morrow, Anastatia, Aristide and Iason," she said happily. "Rather hot today... Hopefully it'll cool down later," she groaned. "Any news this morning?"

[ Kyros, Hunter of the Valion Pack ]

Still panting from his journey in the woods early that morning, the small wolf turned his attention to the group of wolves by the pool. He wasn't much interested in conversing with them, but... His eyes skimmed over the small pool to the other side. There stood a pile of rocks, seemingly climbable. A smile spread across his face, as he felt the urge to climb again. After all, it was his favorite thing to do!
Trying to stroll casually passed the pool, Kyros was hoping that maybe, he wouldn't have to sit around and chat; after all, it was impolite to turn your back or continue walking when speaking to another. Flicking his eyes to the wolves in the pool then back to the rock wall, Kyros saw that he was almost there. He looked back again, however, at the water in the pool. How could someone have such a good time in such a deadly place? And how could something so deadly be so vital to survival? Kyros hated water. He could not swim, and others knew it; he didn't like to be anywhere near it. He began to wonder whether it would be safe to climb the rocks or not... what if the rocks were wet, and he slipped into the pool that Althea was in, and that Anastatia had just gotten out of?

[ Sorry, not a very good post. Gotta go to bed soon. xP ]

Lykos/Alpha/Sentinal

Lykos nodded to Daimon as he sat. Pleased that the previously standoffish manner was a little less in him now. Lykos was raring for a bit of a stroll, he stretched and felt his joints pop a little, rolled his shoulders and stood, smiling a little. "Dima, I'm thinkin' I'll take Daimon with me for a little scouting. See if there's any fun happening downstream, maybe play with a rabbit or two." Lykos dismissed himself softly to Dima and the others before turning to Daimon. "C'mon wolf, we got some time, I'm rarin' for a good run. Seeings how the rabbits are downstream anyway, maybe we could pull some tidbits home for fun." He chuckled a little to himself, beginning a small trot downstream.
"Gimme a howl when you're ready Dima, if I'm not back already by then I'll be in ambush. Just pull 'em near Overflow Rock. I'll be ready."

To become a monster.. is realizing you fear yourself more than what bumps in the dark.
To become a demon, you learn not to care about that fear, and show others why they should be afraid.
