family: her father, oakstar, was a kind and fair leader. he entrusted her as deputy when she was a young warrior. he passed away recently, losing his last few lives much sooner than expected when he hit his head on a stone and fell face first into the stream, unconscious, causing him to drown. some cats believe this wasn't an accident. she has a brother named larkwhisper, and a mother named twilighthaze.
crush: open (though she would have to be quite impressed by someone to catch feelings, i would like for her to have a love interest soon)

personality: fierce. brave. cunning. sharp-witted. intelligent. velvetstar is a natural born leader, though her style of command is quite different than her father's. she demands respect and doesn't flaunt compassion or kindness as one of her biggest traits. she can be harsh, bossy, and commanding. but she was chosen by oakstar as deputy (over her brother) for her natural ability to lead and her success as one of the clan's best warriors. she isn't close with very many other cats, especially not her brother now that she broke the tradition. she hides her emotions from others very easily and has always been mildly power-hungry, awaiting the day that she would take leadership of the clan. now that she is finally leader, velvetstar had no issue breaking tradition and appointing wolfshadow as deputy. it was what was needed to be done in order to make dynastyclan into the powerful group of fierce warriors it needs to be. now that she has control of the clan, things will be changing. oakstar let too much weakness slide.
appearance: velvetstar has a muscular build, hidden by a thick coat of pastel calico fur. she has green eyes and an elegantly framed face.
other: she did not kill oakstar, but for plot purposes some cats should believe she did.

personality: larkwhisper is a quieter, less outgoing tom when compared to his sister velvetstorm - er, velvetstar. he isn't normally one to stir up trouble, but he also has enough confidence to stand his ground when needed. he is empathetic unlike his sister, but equally as brave. growing up in the 'royal line' gave him confidence, because he assumed he would be named deputy at some point by his sister [afterall, their parents were getting old and his older sister was, in his opinion, too harsh to find a mate to have kits with]. larkwhisper struggled a bit going through his apprenticeship. he wasn't quick to master skills or super motivated, for that matter. once again, he had no reason to think this would affect his future as deputy... but he thought wrong. larkwhisper has good intentions always. he is a caring, intelligent tom, who simply made the mistake of assuming, not being ambitious enough ... and trusting his sister. larkwhisper is a very loyal, family-oriented, and tradition following cat, which is another reason he was so caught off-guard by his sister's actions.

the large, thick furred tabby is an ambitious character who aspires to
achieve greatness. bramblingfall is a focused cat who gives every task
his all and never does things half-heartedly. he's reserved and closes
off his more personal feelings, though this doesn't prevent him from
being a social and active member of his clan and doesn't hinder the
bonds he makes with his clan mates. he's an extremely loyal cat and
will defend those he cares about until his dying breath. bramblingfall
does indeed have quite the temper and should be the last cat anyone
would want to irritate or anger. this being said, he is easily irritated
