but it (the foxy cat) is in the group of Metallic Dragon's nursery rhyme themed pets, one of three (and every time they keep spouting off that nursery rhyme I keep thinking of 3 Blind Mice especially with some of those rhymes having quite sinister origins (ergo it would be amusing if the pup was MD's though...)

(I don't usually comment but it looks like ALL my pups are grown... disasters, call in the horsemen of the apocalypse and all that) ahem...

anyhow, going back to MDs clues, and the old tricks got me thinking of their 2014 staff pup that I think of as Fagan (from Oliver's Twist). it suddenly got me why Kieren kept nagging at me as it's vague similarities to the 2014 pup are uncanny... (and it's in a nursery rhyme group too.)

So we're like the mice in this little hunt and Kieren is decidely feline *gulp* but could the elements be pointing to something like a starred pup, or something that will become either decidely birdlike, or could even be the tiger pup ("Tyger Tyger burning bright!") I know they already have a tiger staff, so that would be far too obvious - but one of the things that hasn't been mentioned is the Are You Sleeping song (which is I believe a translation of a french verse which I can't spell), also seems to have been put to some Chinese lyrics which translates loosely as 'Two Tigers'!

(edit: forgot to add pup looks like it's either smiling mischieviously... or sleeping)

So what do the Pythagorean theorem, hypotenuse & trig identities have in common? hmm

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the triangle is related to all of those formulas... so maybe we have to find a pet with triangles/geometry as a motif!


Here's one where I think has a lot of potential~ Going with the geometry motif, this pup has a line, which may turn into something more when it grows up. Another thing is that lines are very common in geometry and are basically the building blocks for what is shapes?? I'm tired

So what do the Pythagorean theorem, hypotenuse & trig identities have in common? hmm

they all have something to do with triangles. every triangle’s angles add up to 180°. the Pythagorean theorem is a^2+b^2=c^2 , c^2 being the hypotenuse. the hypotenuse is the longest side of a triangle. trig identities are used to find angles using the lengths of sides. quite honestly i couldn’t tell ya how all of these connect to your pup, i just know that degrees have been a common theme throughout your hints.


i’m not entirely sure why, but i have a gut feeling that this is your pup.


it almost reminds me of a weather radar with the blotches of color. it’s also one of the last pups with yellow that hasn’t been claimed yet (unless it hasn’t grown to have yellow yet). it vaguely resembles your pup from last year too. the blue in the eyes sticks out to me.



of course i don’t know how triangles fit into all of this, so i could be entirely wrong haha.

So I raise that this pup is right because it looks like pizza which is often cut into triangles.
