A razor blade works well. Just be careful.
So I got an update from my brother on my Betta sorority. The newest girl, Candy, now owns the tank.

I kinda expected it in all honesty; she is super sassy.

Quick question, does anyone know of any fiber rich foods I could give my betta other than peas? I don't have any and he's looking a bit bloated, but no other symptoms other than that. He's swimming fine and will eat. Going to change some of his water really soon.

Just fast him for a day or two - peas don't really work well for bettas because they don't naturally eat fibre rich foods. How much/often do you feed? Unless he's showing signs of swim bladder issues or dropsy, fasting is probably the safest and easiest fix.

2-4 small pellets once a day 6-7 days a week. I've already fasted him and it didn't help. I'll upload a picture as soon as I can. Also it's been going on for about a week and he isn't worsening but isn't getting better either

Some sad updates today ): So a while ago I added a dwarf gourami to my tank of about 7 black phantom tetras and rescaped it. I did originally have 10 tetras but unfortunately some passed, although I never found out why. When I rescaped the tank everyone seemed to be doing fine until the day after, when another tetra passed. I think this was due to the stress of things in the tank being switched around as parameters were fine and none of the others seemed sick. Over the next few months a few other tetras passed and one vanished? I'm not sure what happened to any of them or why they died. Again parameters were fine. I thought perhaps that the gourami had eaten the missing tetra, but he was way too big to be eaten. Another few months after the gourami passed. I have no idea why and it was quite upsetting, I had him for a few months but he was a great little fish.
Now I'm left with only 3 tetra and my little nerite snail ): They all seem happy enough together but they are schooling fish so i'm not sure whether to get a few more or not. They already seem to have a little hierarchy going on and I don't want to potentially stress them further by introducing new fish.
Any opinions?
Thanks!
(tank is ten gallons btw)

Gosh I don't know what to do, I know technically she's a salamander but I figured it'd still be fine to post here since she's aquatic and most people think she's a fish aha
On that note, I have no idea what to do about my Axolotl.
It's barely spring and her tank is already at 20°C so I'm going to have to start putting bottles of ice in her tank already. I'm going to have to do this for all of spring and summer and if I can't do it one day or miss it I don't know how high the temperature in her tank will get. It's 16°C out now but my room holds in heat all too well so her tank is still at 20°C, realistically I'll have to always have the hatch on my roof open and constantly be switching out ice bottles for 6 months straight.
Granted most people would just buy a chiller but I can't do that because of our power situation.
I know my options aren't looking too hot either way and that realistically I'll have to rehome her as it's not fair to put her at a constant risk for my own benefit but I'm really not looking forward to having to do it.
Okay sorry, this was a tad dramatic, there is still hope.
I can insulate the tank to ensure it stays cooler, remove the glass panels on the top and replace them with mesh and today it got to 25°C, in summer it'll only get a maximum of about 6°C hotter so with the extra precautions we should be okay. We'll see, I just hope it goes well! <3
