The only thing i can get from Sword/Shield mentions would be maxing.... maybe look in the first games for hints? They also tended to have simple pkmn types like firefox and bulb pokemon.
Edit: If we bring MD into this i am an expert. Having played the games multiple times. I don't have a working DS atm however...let me see..water...stars...wings...122...Doesn't..piplup learn swift? What other winged mons use swift though..

I think maybe we'll have to find Pokemon #122 of Dama's favorite region? Or favorite game possible... The most likely answers among these are Altaria and Vibrava, though I doubt either of them can learn swift. However, I'm leaning towards Altaria because Dama seems to like Absol, and Absol is part of Gen 3, same Generation as Altaria

Of course, I could be totally wrong but that's what I think.

EDIT: Both Altaria and Vibrava (in Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon) can learn Swift, but only by transfer from Gen 4 via the move tutor there. It seems a bit of a stretch ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

8 eh?... So we get to ask 8 questions? Grew on 8th day? Has 8 markings? Is reference to infinity? (8 = infinity symbol) Is your pup edited heavily, lightly, or not at all? Is your pup sleepy? Does your pup require special food? Is it safe to pet? Would I WANT to pet them? What color is used the most? What color is used the least?...

Okay I lost count. I think thats close to 8.
