Emberstorm hurried in front of the group, impatience itching in her paws. Turning around, she barked half-joking, "Hurry up! It'll be dawn by the time we get back to camp if we walk this slow." She sped up her pace, and arrived at the border of Thunderpack territory. She sat down on her haunches and waited for the others to catch up.

"Mine? Of course not!" She huffed "after I was captured by the tall twolegs with dark fur, my twolegs rescued me." She sat down. "My twolegs know the place I came from means that I was once a wild dog, captured to become a pampered doggiepet." Her ears turned back and became flat "I may be small but I once lived- and survived- in the forest where you long to be. Also, some dogs might not be too keen on letting a pampered puppy into their tough clan." She lowered her head "and if you are ever seen by a dark-furred twoleg, don't ever fight back." Chachie didn't care that she didn't give a reason, she just hoped her warning will keep this Mischief from getting hurt.

Eaglepaw could hear Emberstorm barking at them to catch up, and broke into a quick run, until he was standing next to her. "Well, we made it!" Eaglepaw barked cheerfully. He felt his stomach grumbling, and realized that he hadn't eaten anything all day. "Ummm... Duskpelt, do I have permission to eat?" he asked hopefully, watching his mentor.

Why to left this good meal to go waste" he said looking at her, smelling a none familiar smell coming from her pelt "you meated some strangers too?" he asked at her.

"Well," Sampson looked down and pawed at the ground a little before moving closer to get a better look at Mischief. "I'm actually not supposed to be out right now, but, my twolegs aren't home...so they don't know I'm out here, actually!" He gave a sheepish, lop-sided grin. "I always return home after I venture out here, and usually before they get back...so..." his little nub of a tail waggled side-to-side a bit.

"But, anyway, I'm Sampson! You can call me Sam...or Sampson, which is my full name. I just said that-" The corgi shook his head a bit. "Either is fine! It's nice to meet you!" Sampson bowed his head at Mischief, then at Chachie. "And you, as well! I hope we all can be good friends,"

Skull’s eyes couldn’t help but narrow as the rustling continued. Leaping out of the small puddle he’d cooled off in, he padded over, inhaling the air before freezing. Fox. He growled, his lips curling up into a snarl as he slowly crept closer before a full grown fox leapt at him. He growled out as it pinned him, the fox’s jaws jumping to his throat followed by a small screech of the creature. His spiked collar had really done him justice. With the animal taken by surprise he bowled it over with a heavy blow, the fox speeding into the forest again with blood dripping jaws. He shook himself off, a bit soar from the hit but nothing grand. Walking back over to the shade he sat, his racing heart finally calming down again.

Duskpelt caught up to them, amused by their conversation, ”technically you cannot hunt in windpacks territory, or an of the packs’. But since you did one of our omegas justice, I’ll allow it-just for this patrol, in our territory.” she budded in before they sprinted off after Emberstorm. She easily blew by them, stopping by the other warrior. Her eyes grew concerned for Eaglepaw, frowning, ”you know the warrior code: we feed the pack before ourselves. Tell you what, you catch more than four prey today and you can eat one of your choice, if we each catch around five we’ll have more than enough for the pack and you can get your meal now since you skipped the morning meal” she compromised, smiling at him.

Eaglepaw grinned excitedly. "Thanks, Duskpelt!" He immediately started sniffing the air, testing for the smell of prey. "Hey, Duskpelt! Is that... rabbit?" Eaglepaw guessed. He hoped it was. Rabbits were so good! And, if he was right, and it was rabbit, then it meant there were lots of them...
