Sunset, the sun conure, was born into the zoo, spending his entire life there. This never bothered him, he had all he needed in his enclosure anyway. He spent a lot of time with his family, until one day his mother was scared by a child and flew into the glass wall, cracking her neck. His father died shortly after of old age. One day, when the hurricane hit, Sunset was trapped inside her enclosure like many other birds, with no way out.

Sunset is an approachable and loud conure, who doesn't let bad things get to him. He quickly recovers from accidents but can be naive and reckless at times. He puts others ahead of him, leading to him getting hurt often. Sunset is willing to take any job, and even in the rain would risk flying if not for the others, then for the thrill. When approached with a difficult situation, Sunset prefers to handle it himself. and even if he doesn't know it he occasionally wishes he was dead, so he could be away

from everything in the world.

Sand was born into the zoo, but her parents were captured. They told her stories of the savannah, and how beautiful it was. For her whole life, Sand wanted to break out of her enclosure but never had the chance. Now, she had the chance.

Sand is a restless jackal, always wanting to move from one place to the next. She's a quick learner but has problems making commitments. Her loyalty is constantly wavering, and will only work in a group if she has no other choice. She is described as a coward and leaves problems to other people to fix. Sand's family

was lost in the hurricane, leaving her alone. She prefers to work alone and is not usually aggressive but rather attempts to sneak away unnoticed.
