The pup shrugged at him. "Yeah, I think. I have a twoleg and stuff." At his comment about how far a doggiepet typically traveled, she replied a bit snippily, "Thanks, I guess...? I, for one, can't stand being in the city for too long. The forest is perfect by comparison. It's like -" She cut off as she noticed a shape behind him. It was unfamiliar, but undeniably canine. Although it appeared as real as anything else to her, it was almost surreal, too, composed of shadow or gas rather than flesh and bearing a grin so wicked that it couldn't belong to any normal creature. Unsure of how to react to its presence, Mischief stared for a few excruciating moments before she spoke up again, in a slightly quieter voice. "Who is -" She turned to direct her question at Darkness, but found that he had disappeared from sight. A wave of anxiety surged through the pup and she turned back to the shadow-dog. Its limbs seemed to spread to the surrounding trees, and, gradually, the clearing became as cold and dark as itself. Her pelt bristling, she started to step back, but found that some sort of wall prevented her from doing so. Realizing that she was cornered, the pup growled defensively and took a daring step forward, just as seven other figures emerged from basically nowhere. As if to oppose the shadow-dog, they stood opposite from her, standing tall alongside Mischief as they faced her. Their bodies were more tangible, too, as if they were realer than the monster that leered at them. Mischief simply stood in awe for a moment, but she was interrupted by a bright light that emitted from the newcomers until it became blinding enough to wash the scene away. When the light vanished entirely, Mischief bravely blinked and opened her eyes again. The shadow and light-dogs were gone, replaced with Darkness, the normal clearing, and the deer carcass a few paces from them. Mischief whirled around, studying the area in disbelief and shock, feeling utterly dazed.

Emberstorm nodded and wagged her tail happily. She gave an excited little bounce."Yes! Let's hunt!" Then, she realized how puppyish she was acting. She gave a nervous smile and started to walk back to ThunderPack territory.

Eaglepaw grinned at this suggestion, and waited for Duskpelt to start walking before going back to camp. Or near it. Hunting sounded wonderful! He hadn't had much practice, but he'd love to! "What are we going to try and catch, Duskpelt?" Eaglepaw asked excitedly, wagging his tail.

She looked over at her "it's was not pack that yours could be it's was a pack of rogues and dogs like that" she said silently. Shaking her head she looked at Acornpup "I better maybe go to see if I can find my brother..." she said to her.

He watched the younger dog, with amused yet confused eyes, at a moment he could actually say, that this dog pet was seeing something he didn't realize "so, what was that? did you have awake time nightmare?" he asked curiously, wondering if the young dog could tell him anything.

He gave a look around the other dogs "so you're going to hunt? I will go back to our territory to see if I can find the herbs I promised to bring back to Willowpelt" he said to them "I do know my way back to camp so you can do your own things when I do mine" he continued, giving a small smile.

Eaglepaw's tail drooped at this news. "Oh... well, alright! See you back at camp, I guess? Tell Mouseheart I said hi!" Eaglepaw chirped, his optimism returning with new powers beyond any canine's imagination.

He looked over at Eaglepaw seeing how his tail dropped after what he said "um, sorry, I will only be on your way as I can't hunt? or I don't know how to...I am only a healer apprentice anyways" he said to him with sight "and yes I will say hi to Mouseheart for you...if I am there before you" he continued.

Duskpelt listened to the two exchange words, nodding, ”have a safe journey back” she barked, before turning to Eaglepaw, ”to answer your question from earlier, there have been a lot of thrush and rabbits around lately, hopefully we can find some if the foxes haven’t already. They’re out east more though so I don’t think we should worry too much” she said, her gaze focused on the canines.

She scanned the area around her and the rogue a bit more until she was certain that the strange sights had truly passed. What on earth was that? "Maybe?" she replied at last, clearly unsure. "I saw something weird for a little bit, there...but it's just gone now...?" She relaxed after a few moments and turned back to Darkness, her chill and confident composure restored. "Anyways, all I was going to say is that comparing the forest to the city is like night and day." She picked her chunk of deer meat back up and looked around for the landmark she was going to use to guide her home, to the city.
