Maybe it means a pet that normal “dies” but isn’t in this case. It makes me think of the banana.

The image in Vampiric's signature says "VER:VAMP497328" in the corner. 427 is their user ID, which means the number is probably relevant. I have no idea what 328 could refer to, though. (I checked user #328, and they haven't been online since 2011, so they're probably not relevant.)
