Their territory is so large (perhaps because it's the largest woodpecker of the genus or species) that I've yet to spot one. I've heard of others seeing one of these guys, but not me. Thank you!!!

It's actually a lineated woodpecker ^^ I wanted to pick something a little more obscure, lineated have a striped belly and large red facial makings where pileated have a black belly and small red facial markings plus black stripes

They've very similar in appearance, lineated lives in central/south America where pileated live in North america. Fun little thing, google kept trying to auto correct me into searching 'pileated' and when I mentioned lineated to my mother she went 'you mean pileated, right?'. Definitely obscure enough, lol

You did an absolutely grand job of fooling me! LOL They look so similar. Thank you, Saikiyo. <3

Oh how cool! I’m only familiar with the species of woodpecker around here (yellow-bellies sapsucker, northern flicker, pileated, downy, and hairy) so this litter was a wonderful window to the species of other parts of the world. Thank you! 🐦

A very nice litter. <3
Are the different families being left open for people to guess or can you tell us what they all are? So far I only know about the Flicker and Lineated Woodpecker, but I'd love to name all the chicks according to their family. : )

I just love the conga line too much to get rid of it so it’s staying for now

April, June and November.
All the rest have 31,
Then come February...

I totally forgot that this month has 31 days and not 30. XD Still missing one pet... a zebra from the split, but will get it eventually (it needs to quit hiding from me!) LOL
