Completely agree! Cringe culture made me distance myself from all anime content so trying to watch an anime series now for me is really difficult QvQ

Fans of a series/game/etc who got into the fandom very late into the game are just as valid as the ones who were there since day 1

They are equally valid, but as an "old" fandom guy myself I have to say that some just can't comprehend the feels a fandom carries, especially for people who were into it basically from the start. They simply don't have the same experiences.

It's not horrible, but it's not my favourite.
