Useless amazing fact, just because I've read Cedar is a Maned Wolf. Did you know Maned Wolves are not real wolves? They have their own taxonomic class and are actually somewhat closer to Bush-Dogs than to wolves. They're awesome animals anyway and made for heat... I mean, they're endemic (meaning they only exist on) to South America and mostly inhabit lowland plains and 'Savannah' like grasslands... and here we don't have snow within those sites xP

Just how they were wired. Curiously enough, despite their size, they're made mostly for hunting small critters and insects as well, so they basically feed of hares and mostly of smaller rodents like mice, also birds if they're lucky enough to get them. I believe they've also been seen going after termites. Here were I live (I'm from Brazil, so south America... we have 'em here xP) we have a tree that is actually called 'Lobeira' which is something like 'Wolfer' and Maned Wolves are just... addicted to the fruits those trees bear, so their fruit is literally called 'Wolf's Fruit'. It's amusing. Good boys.

But yeah, they're definitively NOT build for cold weather. You see, this long lanky legs and huge ears are characteristics for hot places, meaning they're there to help with heat dissipation. Put this kiddo in the snow without a good heat source and he won't be able to maintain his body temperature .rip No wonder Zoos outside south America usually have a 'Heated Den' for them to make winter more bearable.

Don't be sad, they're still hella awesome. Their name is kind of a trap though... another amusing fact, Maned Wolves are also called Foxes on Stilts xP Gotta love them. Big... Leggy... Foxy Kiddos.

Tomato is also a fruit, deal with it.

I'll be honest with you, I've never heard about them existing in Panama lol. I know for a fact they're endemic to South America as we have them in my country xP From what I know... they're kinda scattered around Brazil, Peru, Bolivia and then down around Paraguay and Argentina.
