does anyone have any advice for cats with ocd or possibly anxiety?
we haven’t technically gotten ours tested for allergies but he doesn’t seem to be itchy, and it looks like he’s over-grooming as a compulsion type of thing.
his belly and his forearms have really short hair now, and l was just wondering if anyone has experience with this same thing c:

My dumb kitty decided to bring home a skink sjfjdfskddfjdfj. Of course me being the overly-worried
cat mom I am, I took it from her and researched online if they're poisonous. I honestly can't find any
straight-forward answers as to if they're harmful to cats, so Im gonna just take her to the vet if she
starts acting weird. Thankfully she didnt actually eat it, she just brought it inside and batted it around,
so Im 99% sure she won't get sick haha. At least it's better than the time she brought inside a live bird
and we had to catch it and let it back outside lmao[/url]

Hi! My cat catches skinks and geckos all the time! They aren't poisonous don't worry! It's probably still a good idea to not let her eat any, but if she has/ does she should be fine. I'm sure my boy's only brought me about half of what he's actually caught 😕
You're a very good cat mum! 💕 I'd honestly be doing the same if I wasn't sure! ^-^

You should bring him to the vet! Both to get tested for allergies/see if there's a reason for the itch, and to maybe get something relaxing for him.

I have an anxious cat who over grooms at times as well, and Feliway diffusers helped her a lot for a while. She doesn't over groom anymore, but there have been other anxious behaviors starting so I'm going to be taking her to the vet to see about medicating her for it.

So, I've been around cats all my life, but until I got my most recent cat around 5 years ago, I'd never seen a cat roll over onto its back and just lay like that with its feet in the air, perfectly chill in the middle of the room for sometimes hours. XD It was so weird the first few times I saw him doin it, and it still produces a lot of "awes" even now when we catch him like this.

My cat Wynnie will just flop over on the floor sometimes, very forcefully I might add - she makes a little "thump" noise when she does it, right in the middle of the floor. She gets a giggle out of me every time she does it. My youngest, Pumpkin, will sprawl out on the floor with her legs stretched out as far as possible, I like to call it her "yoga time."

Hey all! I thought I'd pop in to introduce my new foster kitten, Ellie. She's an adorable 8-week-old calico with the cutest little polka dot on her back. We're waiting for feedback on an issue with her eye, and once that's all clear, she's off to be vaccinated, spayed, and of course, adopted. This is my first foster and I know some people struggle with attachment, but for some reason, I'm not really feeling that. I love her of course, but I also know I'm very ready and excited for her adoption, as I'm ready to bring in more fosters and I'm ready to see her with a family who will adore her. She's absolutely adorable and so sweet, so I'm sure she'll be adopted quite soon. Pictures to come!

my cat percy does this all the time and it's the funniest thing. i'll just look over and he's on his back, paws in the air and hind legs spread. once he notices me looking at him he rolls over and watches me back. when i look away he goes back to the position. it's like he's embarrassed to be seen being cute and not tough like the lil lion he thinks he is.

my other cat tiny will occassionally roll onto her back to stretch but she doesn't go into that position unless she's laying against a wall, the back of a chair, couch, or bed to hold her up.

Ahah, yes, my cat sleeps in this position most of the time. It still makes me go "awww" whenever I walk into a room and find him sleeping like that though.

I think cats only do that when they really trust you or/and want to look cute..
But he uses that power to trick me into giving him more treats and opening doors for him (while my previous cat just hunted and opened doors herself).

He also sleeps with his mouth open sometimes. It's funny. XD

Oh my gosh she sounds so adorable! Calicos are honestly some of the cutest lil babies in my opinion! :0
I feel like it’s not unusual to love your kitten but not feel sad about their adoption. After all, you’re not fostering them for your gain, you’re doing it for her. And once she gets adopted you know she’ll have a loving forever home.

i can’t wait for pictures

I’ve been really wanting to get involved in fostering but it’s been complicated for few few different reasons.
First of all, we have two adult cats that live in our home. Neither of them are aggressive, in fact they’re very sweet, but my parents are worried it would make they feel distressed? I know other people who Forster and have “forever” pets without problems though, so I think it will be fine. Other than that, the last thing that is concerning is that it would be to difficult for us manage. I really want to help though, and I feel that I’m willing to put in time work and effort.

If I could get some advice, it’d be appreciated a lot!
