Alhar could tell Sae was upset, he couldn't tell what he had done wrong. He thought over what she had said, becoming an assassin seemed much harder than a paladin. He felt sad, sorry for her. He quietly got up and walked over to her, not caring what the other people around the room thought. They all seemed to submersed in their own conversation to pay an attention anyway. He came up behind Sae and placed a hand lightly on her shoulder "I-I'm sorry, I didn't know." he truely was sorry and he silently cursed himself for letting that be known "Are you alright?"

((Well, a lot of people ended up quieting but what has happened it, Elenwen is in the woods with a new character Acadia. Everyone else is at the inn talking or waking up. So... not much has really happened but a lot of conversation.))

She closed her eyes again when she felt his hand on her shoulder. She felt very foolish, very vulnerable. "I'm fine." She choked out finally. She sighed and looked back at Alhar, her crimson eyes clouded slightly with pain and memories. She looked back down at her hands that were in her lap. Why did he care?

Alhar gave Sae a sad look and grabbed a chair sitting beside her, "I'm sorry about what happened to you." he whispered, he wasn't good at this, he was hopeless at helping people, one of the reasons he would never make a king. Alhar pasued for a moment, he knew this was a stupid idea. He gently took her right hand and held it in both of his, "They can't hurt you now though." he said, giving her a little smile. He hated to see anyone like this but especially her.

The former assassin watched him warily and shook her head. "You can belive that, but I can't. Assassin's will always be after the rogues, the deserters." She said with a half-sigh. She placed her free hand over his. "You don't have to feel sorry for me though, it's been like this for a while." She gave a small shrug. "I'm used to it." She smiled at him. She wasn't used to the kindness, but she didn't mind.

Ash nodded some as she turned her gaze to him, smiling a little. "Very well... Thank you. Did you?" she asked quietly as she rose from the bed, picking up her fans and dagger. She tightened some of the fabric she had wrapped around her body, wanting to make sure that it didn't slip or fall off at any point during the day, which had actually happened to her at one point, but she was trying very hard to forget that.

Alhar's smile widened "Well, they can keep comign but their job is about to get a whole lot harder; you're not on your own anymore." for a moment his eyes met her's but he quickly looked back down She's an assassin, she's from this world. he told himself, he couldn't let this happen. He got to his feet and looked at the stairs "Maybe we should wake them up." he said rather haltingly. He started to walk off, not daring to look back. He could see the swan feather glow, then fade from silver to white, it itself fading away.

Anamerak nodded as he got up. “I slept better than the last few nights.” He guessed it was because it wasn’t sleeping on the ground in the middle of a mist filled forest. He picked up his light-weight armor and started to put it back on. He watched as her emotionless mask reformed and whatever innocence was there, dissipated. He gave a slightly smile. “Wanna go down stairs and get breakfast?”

Sae watched as Alhar got up. He seemed torn, unsure about something. She sighed and placed her hands in her lap. “Let them sleep a little bit longer. Who knows how much sleep we can grab over the next few days.” She pointed out. They had a perilous journey ahead of them and she was pretty unsure about what laid ahead of them and they needed to keep whatever energy they could.

Alhar paused and inwardly, he sighed. He took out the amulet and looked it over; he had kept it shining silver for three years, now it was finally fading. He knew what Feathers wanted, he knew that she wouldn't rest till he had found someone else. He looked down at the feather again, maybe for once the birdbrained girl was right. He tucked the amulet back away and walked back over to Sae. "Where are we going anyway?" he asked, taking his seat again and masking his sorrow with a little smile. He didn't like people to feel sorry for him, to pity him. He didn't want to be looked down on.
