So guys.. too many wings? Not enough wings? Thoughts? I'm curious

Not enough wings! They all look amazing and are perfect for dressups, there will never be enough wings for me
I wish we had some wigs, plushies or contacts as well, but maybe next event. This one already had too many amazing things

This is honestly one of my favorite events, I'm loving the lineart edits, the creative designs and the lore. The team did an amazing job, thank you for all the pets and items!

Has anyone else got an unhatched day 3 dragon egg? The outcomes page has the four variations hatching at either day two or three so far, but this guy hasn't peeped yet

I'm baffled. The event is already basically over? I mean, there's lots of stuff, but it felt extremely short, like the shortest summer event ever. Or is that just me?

I agree, though it also felt like it started later than most summer events did in the past. It may have been shorter due to time constraints? Because I honestly thought the well and the barn would give us something.

Also does anyone know what birds these two are based on? I wanna say Kestrel for this guy



But I'm not 100% sure



And I'm guessing some sort of hawk? Also still don't know what bird the Tiger Griffin is based on either...

My first guess for the bottom one was the Harris hawk but maybe not?

Not just you. I feel pretty underwhelmed, this event really fell short for me. The npc’s were adorable, and had great potential. Not to mention there wasn’t one pet outcome that didn’t blow me away (seriously, they’re all so beautifully done) but the plot was definitely lacking. It felt empty. I was totally expecting something to happen with the well/barn...

But, yeah, like I said, the pets are amazing! So, not saying that completely makes up for it, but the artists put a lot into their designs, I can tell.

The lost city event was my favorite that I’ve participated in, it was so much fun, it’s gonna be hard to beat in my book.


Anyways! The malk foxes, oml, dead, they’re so beautiful!
But gonna say this bab is my favorite, so aestethic. <3 <3

Gotta agree with the criticisms that this one was a little short. I don't have the time to check how long all of the past events were in terms of days exactly, but this one was only 9? days? As people have said the ending did seem quite abrupt and the story arc wasn't to the level of say the Lost City event.

Perhaps going forward having someone be a dedicated writer would help lighten the load and help that aspect reach the same incredible levels that all the artwork was at this year! And thanks as always to staff for giving us all this extra content - as ever we are critical because we love CS. Lots of love to you guys 💖

Oh ok, Thanks! I knew they were all birds of prey and some were definitely easier to identify than others.

Edit: It was much shorter than other events and the story, while simple, is fairly standard. I think having two places to visit (The Barn & The Well) that added nothing beyond clicks was a little frustrating, especially when myself and other players thought these would be places to get more pets. I also think more cohesion with the designs of pets (which are all wonderful) would have been good, as some feel more demonic/dark or alien/space rather than fae/faery like. At least, that's what I see/interpret.

It may be a good idea to have a dedicated event writer on the staff, as Rockruff said. Because Lost City, Jungle and Space event were really all well done in terms of story so we all understood what the short plot was working toward. Still great and I've loved the Summer Events since they came into being, but critical feedback: Too short, too many plot hooks with no pay off nor conclusion to those plot hooks (Though this one might be because I couldn't get the full story due to work demands eating up most of my time), a lot of the end conclusion to the event feels very rushed.

Still, a good event, involved one of my favorite themes (if the UN didn't give that away) & it was nice to have an event like this somewhat remind me of the Medieval Faire event from 2011. So, decent job, amazing pets!

Top one similarly looks like Kestral, but the bottom one leans towards Golden Eagle.
