How do we get crystals? Do we trade herbs for them somewhere or gain them by clicking banners?

I can confirm it's 200. When I got a banner before logging in I got the following message:

Sorry, you have already adopted too many of this pet (you are allowed to get this pet only 200 times). Please go back and choose a different pet :)

I don't know if this question was already asked but with the token banner limit does that also go with the mine gems as well basically my question is since there is a limit for the banner tokens is there a limit for the mine gems?
