Id numbers??

I'm not really sure where to put this , so I apologize if this is in the wrong place.

Why are some ppl trading for pets with certain ID numbers? Is there a something special about certain numbers?
Sometimes I will see ppl trading the SAME pet, but they want it to have a certain number, Or they want a pet thats number is lower or higher. ???

The ID number relates to the time you adopted a pet, so if you want to have several pets listed next to each other in their group you can orientate on their ID number. But some people just like to collect funny or strange numbers ^.^
