Where do you get the squirrels that are listed in archives under this event? Are they the banner pet or something? I’ve checked the event outcomes thread and can’t find where to get them.

if you mean the little guys above, they come from the mine! they're given out randomly, meaning that sometimes you get a gemstone but you could also get one of these squirrels.

you can get it from here for 1 crystal- though there is only a 1/7 chance of getting that out of 6 other outcomes :)

I've hit the banner limit. If the banner limit is raised will the little message at the bottom disappear?

Yes it will! Once the limit is raised the message will vanish and you can begun your hunt again!

when does the event end?

We won't know until a day or two before it does, but usually summer events last approximately two weeks so we should have just over a week left. (:
