Charts and maps littered the floor of his bedroom, a thirst for the unknown, Nate has always been looking beyond the walls of his childhood home. As he grew older, his need to wander the land only grew stronger, and began to further affect his personal relationships. He often blows off his friends plans if he gets an idea into his head, or forget the few birthdays by getting engrossed in the nearby forest. Because of this, Nate hasn't had many long term friends, and has a problem with maintaining a good relationship with others.

Like his mother, Nate has an artistic side. He loves to paint landscapes, and has started to try his hand at writing novels, though he'll never let anyone read them. His favorite subject matter to write about is fantasy and pirate exploits, though his guilty pleasure to write is Sci-fi.
