Location: The Sanctuary

Mentioned:

Arietta was breathing hard by the end of her threat. She knew Jen had to be biting her tongue. The fiery girl was just taking Arietta's words and not refuting anything. It did nothing for Arietta's anger, but at least they weren't screaming at each other and causing and even bigger scene.
But before Arietta could open her mouth, Gavotte stood in front of her. She balked for a minute, knowing it was taking a lot of courage to speak up like this.
Arietta listened. She let every word fall upon her like the gentle rain she so desperately craved to clean the destruction here.
"As long as we learn from our mistakes, we are still on the same side." Arietta agreed, trying not to sound threatening at all. She knew Gavotte was standing between them to protect them both, and she could see the regret leaking through every pore of his skin. Arietta nodded once as she straightened, not intending to fight Jen anymore.
But then, Ardai shouted, and Arietta looked towards him. She heard Leroy's voice, and it sounded crazed. She didn't even need to see him to know how he looked. Arietta was moving before she could even register the thought, as she withdrew her bow and strung it. She let the arrow fly just as the boy flared so brightly, it was like staring into the sun. She emitted a cry of surprise as she blinked away the spots in her vision, but she saw enough to know her arrow was just shy of the mark to hit. Arietta was aiming for his thigh, just to hinder him from running, but her arrow hit his lower leg. Still effective, but it had to hurt so much more. Her pang of guilt though wasn't enough to override her worry and need to get to Ardai.
Arietta was already running, but it was so slow, each step feeling like molasses as she tried to move and fight his beauty.
"Leroy! Let us explain!" Arietta tried to say, but it only came out as a croak. Fighting his beauty, trying to will herself out of it was hard. Especially since her heart wasn't in the mission anymore.

Lanette Lane
Female Pansexual Pacifism
Tags: Dakota, Onyx, Keith

-----The small brunette beamed with admiration for her teammates. Onyx spoke with such passion, such conviction that Lanette herself was moved. Their words added fuel to her fire, every injustice stoking her determination to fight harder for the cause. And to think she assumed her willpower couldn't be any stronger than it was!
-----Wow, Onyx, Lanette thought, in awe at their speech. Their passion was almost tangible. You should make speeches for the Uprising. You're that good!
-----Keith made no reply, only vanished momentarily from sight. Lanette only smiled wider, knowing the reason was Dakota. She'd secured her hold on Keith's true form, and he was dangling upside down from his tail. Lanette felt bad since that seemed rather uncomfortable (he was making his discomfort known with indignant hissing), but her pride for her teammate outweighed that.
-----I was right to trust in you. I'm so glad you came with us, Dakota. Just like her words for Onyx, these would be saved for later. There was plenty of time to congratulate her teammates once they arrested this bad teenager.
-----"Shh, you should really listen to my friend here." Lanette still wore her sweet smile as she stretched out her hand, palm glowing violet with her power. A hush fell over the yowling feline and he relaxed in Dakota's grasp.
-----The illusory human-Keith appeared once again, flickering before them. This time his figure was more translucent, blurring at the edges. His narrow frame was hunched in defeat as he stood from the chair.
-----"... I don't know anymore," Keith spoke, voice cracking with conflicting emotions as he addressed Onyx. "Even though everything you say is true, I already made my choice. There is no future left for me in the Uprising, nor outside it."
-----Lanette raised her brows in genuine concern at the despair radiating from him, but no amount of guilt tripping would buy his freedom. She simply fixed him with an understanding but firm expression as she, too, rose from her seat and pushed her chair in. "I'm sorry you feel that way, Keith, but it was a mistake. I'm sure Senegal will be understanding."
-----"I can't face her. She believed in me, and here I am-" Illusion-Keith's voice broke, and he was silent for a long while. His dark bangs hid his face from view, which Lanette took to be intentional. The decrepit living room and boarded-up windows were visible behind him as his outline faded in and out of view. "Tell your friend in the shadows she should just kill me."
-----Lanette was about to protest, but the illusion faded into a wispy blur and then nothing. She looked between Onyx and Dakota, wearing an expression of unease, and shook her head no. They had resolved this as peacefully as they could, even if Keith's despair left a deep worry in Lanette's heart. It was best they took him back to Commander Atlanta without turning their civilized arrest into a bloodbath.
-----She had faith Senegal wouldn't have the traitors executed. It seemed against the motherly High Councillor's nature to do away with teenagers who'd made poor life choices. They would receive consequences no doubt, but Lanette wanted to believe death wouldn't be the final verdict.

xxxxxxxxJennifer was reasonably taken aback when Gavotte intruded and stood between the two, even blaming himself for some of what she'd so willingly done. It worked though, Arietta had gone silent. Listening to what he had to say, as did Jen. The water wielder always had a way with words, and this time was no exception. Had Jen spoken, it'd only have turned into a larger outburst, as she would not have been so kind as to end it peacefully as he had done. Now with Arietta calm, Jen gave a silent nod of agreement. Deciding over opening her mouth as she didn't trust what may come out. She knew when there was a time for things and there wasn't, after all. Though just as peace was restored, a blinding light shone from behind the blonde. Right along with the crazed, unsteady tone of a captured traitor. Leroy. The archer was moving in an instant, right along with Arietta. Though instead of remaining in one spot, she moved away from him and the light. His powers seemed to have a freezing effect, though Jen couldn't exactly pinpoint what. She just knew she had to get away and fast. As she darted for the cover of the trees, she began climbing until she had at least a decent shot. Aiming for his opposite leg to the one Arietta already shot at. Her arrow hit his leg, but it still wasn't enough, and just as she went to draw again, all seemed to slow. She kept fighting, grinding her teeth together as she went to release another arrow, which hit his arm. She had to figure out how to break whatever spell he'd brought over her, and fast. Or they'd all be as good as dead, and she couldn't allow that.

-----After making a quick circuit and ensuring everyone was in their places, Atlanta headed off to the Sanctuary. It was preferable to be there early, in case her recruits were already finishing up. Letting them linger too long would be unsafe. The Fivanian Guard could get suspicious of teenagers loitering in a sacred reserve of silence.
-----As she entered the ancient gates, she started off at a leisurely jog. Grass crunched underfoot as she loped through the quiet woods. It was peaceful compared to the hooting and hollering of Fivanian streets, and she was content to listen to the night sounds of nature.
-----The peace shattered as she neared the central lake. Serene forest noises died away in favor of screaming. Concerned but remaining calm, Atlanta quickened her pace into a sprint. She deemed the situation unlikely to be an ambush. More reasonable were the assumptions that the squad lost control of their traitor, or were simply getting carried away.
-----Either way, I should see what's going on.

-----Gavotte cursed himself for being so negligent. The moment he thought he'd defused the situation, the moment he let down his guard, that was when disaster struck. Ardai shouted in panic and warning, and Gavotte didn't need to think twice. He knew the traitor was at large once more.
-----Remembering Arietta's description of their target's power, Gavotte reacted defensively, pulling murky water from the lake into a curtain between himself and Leroy. A brilliant flash of light made him flinch, although he refused to run away this time. From what Gavotte could make out behind the muddy water, Arietta was running towards the chaos while Jen retreated to shoot arrows from afar.
-----Once again, the water-manipulator was at a loss. He couldn't shield either of the girls without impeding their arrows, nor did he possess enough strength to mimic Drew's tidal-wave attack. But he refused to back down this time.
-----Breathing evenly, Gavotte pulled another wave of mud and grime from the once-pristine lake. It rushed through the air, twisting, a snake of water about to strike its target. Just before it connected with Leroy, it veered to the left. The mass murky water formed into a shield between Leroy and Ardai.
-----That's right. I might not be the strongest, Gavotte thought, staring down Leroy from behind the water, but I don't have to be. I can still help however I can.

-----Ardai's eyes burned as the traitor continued his rampage. The pain was excruciating, and he was unable to look away. Leroy's hypnotic powers were much stronger than before.
-----Just when he couldn't take it anymore, something appeared between himself and the blinding light. Shielded by whatever just came to save him, Ardai was able to break free from Leroy's spell. His initial reaction was to crouch low to the ground with gritted teeth as he fought back a scream. He covered his watering eyes, but daggers of pain stabbed through them even as he squeezed them tightly shut.
-----This was more than simply being dazzled by Leroy's supernatural beauty. Ardai felt like his eyes had stood in the path of a literal explosion. He dug his nails into his palms, gathering his muddled thoughts to form a single plan: Get out of the damn way. With all his might, he willed himself invisible.
-----All at once, the sights of the scene came to him - he was able to see somehow. Not with his eyes, but with whatever magic allowed him to sense his surroundings when invisible.
-----Gavotte was the one to save him. Ardai could tell by the murky water levitating between himself and the traitor. Jen was nowhere to be seen, but Arietta was approaching the traitor. Oh disgrace.
-----Leroy was on the ground now, kneeling, with arrows piercing both his legs and another embedded in his arm. The traitor's face twisted in anguish, but he emitted a horrible hysterical laugh that almost sent him keeling over. He drew his sword and grinned so widely it looked painful.
-----"Ha ha... you already explained everything."
-----That's it, I'm taking this psycho out. Although he shook as pain pounded through his head, Ardai managed to retrieve his spear from where it fell. He could throw it over the curtain of water and stay out of the way. Aiming for the traitor's good arm, he flung the polearm with all his might, backed by desperation and the need to stop Leroy from hurting his friend.
-----The weapon arced through the air -

-----Upon approaching the lake, the commander could clearly see who didn't belong. As she rushed the traitor, she noticed a sloppily-thrown spear hurtling towards both herself and the boy. In a single motion, she drew her sword and swung like a batter. It smacked the spear out of midair before the flat edge of the blade connected with Leroy's head.
-----As the blonde sank to the ground unconscious, Atlanta slowly sheathed her sword. Stormy grey eyes surveyed the lakeshore but remained impassive despite the many issues. The destroyed lake, the missing werewolf, the looks on everyone's faces.
-----Gavotte levitated two masses of muddy water back into the now-tainted pond. Behind where one of the water curtains once stood, Ardai emerged from his invisibility, holding hands over his eyes. Jen was visible in a tree some distance away (a great angle to shoot arrows from), and the others from Corazon Street were close by. No one looked hurt from a first glance.
-----"Great teamwork. Team Corazon, I'm proud of you for leading your target here. And Team Sanctuary, excellent backup and thinking on the spot." Atlanta congratulated her squad before looking with concern at the unconscious Leroy, riddled with arrows. Even more worrying was the absence of Team Sanctuary's werewolf teammate, along with their traitor Drew.
-----"I'm here to help now - is there anything I should address first?" Atlanta asked, sword still at the ready. She was prepared to do a little hunting if needed. "Arietta, perhaps you could debrief me if you're comfortable doing that."

Dakota glances over to Onyx after their speech and gives them a genuine smile, something that's rare to see on the Niner. Nice, Onyx! She thinks, and turns her attention to the Keith illusion in front of her as he begins to talk. Dak remains expressionless as he continues, but she isn't emotionless. Even though she doesn't want to feel anything for the man, she can't help but feel a pang of sympathy for him. Though she can't exactly relate to his situation, she knows how it feels to doubt everything she's known. When he mentions her killing him, she sighs heavily. Great, now it's my turn to talk, since I'm the one with the cat.
"Listen Keith, I can't exactly just kill you on the spot. I mean, if I could, I would, but these two would never let me." She leans her sword against the wall and reaches into the pocket of her hoodie, pulling out a pair of power-dampening handcuffs she grabbed from Atlanta. (Sunny I hope this is cool!) "And while your intentions were pretty nasty, you haven't done anything yet. Now, if you just want to become human again..." She lowers the cat so it can reach the ground, and suddenly instead of a tail, she's holding onto the back of Keith's shirt.
"No sudden moves or I'll have to knock you out." She threatens him, and hurriedly puts the handcuffs on the man. "Should we get a leash too?" She jokes, and turns to the other two. "What now?"

          NAEVYS XYRCAN
          ───────────────────────────────────────

maleeighteentelekinesisthe sanctuarytagged - squad, atlanta, arys mentioned

although he was dressed extravagantly, naevys had no clue on how to match his personality to his appearance. ardai and arietta had done so much of the work that being there himself was practically pointless. through the catfight, naevys stood as a bystander and did nothing but watch, knowing that he could possibly sabotage the mission with terrible acting skills. his confidence may have peaked earlier when he was taunting ardai about being the prettiest at the parade, but that slowly diminished upon reaching corazon street where the bustling of the party had started to kick in.

he did his part, quietly observing and analyzing the every move of leroy who had appeared to offer himself to arietta, ardai, riley, and himself. to the invitation for a dance, naevys only smiled softly and nodded, patiently waiting for his turn, but knowing it would likely never come as the group started leading leroy off to the sanctuary. naevys didn't take arietta's signal lightly. if willpower was what kept you out of leroy's reach, then willpower was his focus.

keeping this in mind, naevys took everything leroy said with a grain of salt. he felt no pity for the traitor no matter how convincing that bit about his brothers was. personally, naevys felt those words on every level. he loved his brothers with all the mind he could muster. being a traitor for the sake of family? naevys got it. but still, he wasn't convinced.

everything that happened in the sanctuary flashed by quickly. things seemed out of control but gavotte's squad was ready as ever to back the corazon squad up before commander atlanta returned to straighten out the ends. leroy was incapacitated and arietta and ardai seemed to have their mission report everything else under control— although, arys was still missing.

"commander," naevys started, wringing his hands together. "i can search for arys if need be. i fear she might be in danger. if not, i could still provide her with some company, given that i wasn't a part of her squad." naevys didn't talk to arys much, but they were alike enough that they got along well. the telekinetic was worried, as well.

"i can fly around and search the perameter." while naevys often only moved inanimate objects with his power, he could also move himself around. the only limits of his mind were his physical limits. as long as he could carry his own body weight, (which he now can, after months of training) he could move himself around in the air for as long as his mind would let him. either way, it was much better than walking on a damaged leg.

-----Lanette's shoulders sagged in relief as Dakota spared Keith's life. With a snap of the handcuffs, they'd officially captured their traitor without resorting to bloodshed. The small brunette chuckled as Dakota jokingly proposed a leash, but it seemed their captive was humiliated enough. He looked utterly defeated.
-----The man made no effort to escape Dakota's grasp as he rose to his feet. His head hung pitifully, long dark hair hiding his face from view. Lanette approached and grasped onto his arm with a small, faintly glowing hand - hopefully the peaceful feelings her power brought would help him. Nobody deserved to be miserable, no matter what they'd done.
-----Keith breathed a heavy sigh. He murmured something inaudible, which Lanette assumed was a 'thank you'. Benefit of the doubt, right? She sent him a sweet smile, not faked this time.
-----"You were amazing today, you two. I'm so glad you came here with me," Lanette addressed her teammates now. "Atlanta told us to meet at the Sanctuary - I think we should head there. Keith might feel better to see his friends again. Do either of you want to lead the way?"

-----James' words were worth nothing. Only when Caleb responded to the murder comment did Sonata acknowledge it, narrowing her eyes as she took another step forward. How dare this piece of garbage slander her friends after what he did? This man was an actual murderer, even if his victim was somehow resurrected. He had no right to compare himself to their teammates.
-----Arys and Gavotte would never do such a heinous thing. Jen had anger issues, yes, but Sonata knew the fire-wielder was a good person. They'd all grown up together. While the blonde was sorta unfriendly, Sonata refused to believe her squadmate would murder someone in cold blood. James had already done that and could shut his slimy mouth.
-----"You better listen to my friend and get talking, or I'll do something." Sonata's voice was sharp with anger as she approached even closer. "I know, I'll break your nose."
-----She'd be doing him a favor. It was surprising this man survived so long with the fetid reek from his rotten soul. This traitor, his actions were throwing away the entire country's future for his own pocket money. I hate you! I hope Senegal disowns you, She seethed in silence as she glared straight into his eyes. This time Sonata wasn't nervous or afraid to make eye contact, all she felt was fury at this lowlife who dared accuse her teammates.
-----Vines and creepers extended from the houseplants on the countertop. James made no effort to escape as Sonata restrained his arms, binding them together with the overgrown greenery.
-----"Have I already what?" James spat like an offended stray cat, seemingly unbothered by the constricting vines. "Look, boy, I'm not omniscient-"
-----Sonata clenched her jaw and slapped the redhead with a vine. It wouldn't hurt much, but served as a reminder that his attitude was not appreciated. James wasn't in control here and could quit his superior attitude. "The maps! What did you do with them? You better tell the whole truth, or else."
-----The traitor shrugged, looking bored again. Maybe he was just pretending not to be scared. "Your commander's dad got them hours ago. Why do you think I was at that stupid party? I was looking for him, but you kids just had to bump into me."
-----Anger flaring at the continuation of this condescending attitude, Sonata hurled an insult right back. "You sure are stupid for someone who sees the future!" This moron made a plan, knowing full well he would end up arrested, maps confiscated by an older rebel. He thought he was so much better than them, but he was more foolish than ten Ardais. More foolish than ten teenage Ardais.
-----"Hold up a second." Despite everything, James was laughing. "See the future... what? I mean, I'm flattered, but that's not how it works kiddos."
-----Sonata made a face of utter bewilderment and disgust at this idiot. "What?"
-----"Eh, I'll just tell you. I'm screwed anyway, who cares." James shrugged again and began to explain. Sonata couldn't believe she'd been intimidated by him when they first met. This petulant brat was so annoying, so full of hot air. "If you have powers, I can see you: where you are, how you work. Now do you want to hear about your fiery friend?"
-----Sonata was suddenly reluctant to listen any more. She turned her back to James with a huff, but fixed her friends with a nervous expression before speaking. "He's wasting our time! Let's just arrest him and go, maybe find Commander's dad."

Gavotte Lane

-----Crisis averted, Gavotte returned the shields of muddy water to the lake. It sloshed with an unpleasant noise, although not nearly as unpleasant as the screaming from earlier.
-----He was no longer needed here. At the edge of the forest, he could see Jennifer in the trees. Gavotte heaved a sigh and decided this was an ideal time to have a talk. After standing between the two girls and addressing them so calmly, Gavotte himself had simmered down quite a bit. He could face this confrontation without recoiling in horror now.
-----Atlanta was speaking to the other squadmates, so Gavotte slipped away without a word, heading towards the wooded area. This time, he looked up into the trees and met the fire-wielder's eyes. There was no anger in his deep blue gaze, just concern for both their sakes. Maybe the 'incident' had taken a toll on her too, but Gavotte would never know unless they aired out their thoughts.
-----"Do you need to talk?"

Ardai Fairchild
Male Heterosexual Invisibility
Tags: asdfj

-----Ardai had half a mind to ask Atlanta to knock him out, too. His eyes were burning like the fiery armpit of a Severin foundry. The adrenaline was beginning to wear off, making the pain worse with every stab. But he had to find Arys and so he fought through it. He could whine and wallow about his screwed up eyes later. Or more likely, he'd be bragging about his awesome 'battle scars' and begging for blind colored contacts to emphasize.
-----He'd flickered into view so his commander could see him. With that accomplished, he returned to being invisible so he could actually sense his surroundings. He stumbled closer to retrieve his spear, holding it vertically as a visible marker of where he was. It also made a great support to lean on once he dug the blade into the dirt.
-----"Man, sorry for being such a poor sight..." Ardai groaned, forcing a smile. It took him a moment to remember they couldn't see him. What a dumbass, he'd even joked about sight.
-----"Anyway, Commander, can I have that flashlight?" Ardai pulled his dirt-covered spear out of the ground and pointed the non-pointy end at Atlanta's purse. "I want to look in the forest. Best habitat for wolves."

Commander Atlanta Hunter

-----The commander was pleased that several squadmates wanted to find Arys. This kind of support was the foundation of a healthy team. Without the driving force of camaraderie, everything could fall apart. Atlanta had seen it before. She didn't want to ever see it again.
-----"Naevys, it would be great if you could. I love your initiative." Atlanta wore a proud smile as she addressed the recruit. His training had paid off well, determination and talent combining to give him incredible power. He was an excellent role model, and Atlanta wanted to show him off to other commanders. Her old commander most of all. Despite having just graduated, Naevys would make a better commander than Kendrick.
-----Ardai remained invisible as he asked for her flashlight. Atlanta plucked it from her bag and felt the boy snatch it up with enthusiasm. With a few awkward clicks, he managed to turn it on. The teenager didn't play around with it for once.
-----She was a little concerned about his eyes, so she took out a small pill bottle and shook a couple tablets into her hand. "Good for you, volunteering to find our friend. Here's a little something for your eyes." She'd brought some pain medication, in anticipation for squad members suffering from lingering headaches after the mission. She was surprised nobody from Team Corazon had complained about one yet. They were a common byproduct of too much exposure to Fivanian noise.
-----"Sweet! You're an actual lifesaver," Came Ardai's voice as the tablets disappeared from the commander's hand. She heard a loud gulp, and then his increasingly impatient voice. "Can I go now?"
-----The moment Atlanta nodded, the spear and flashlight started heading into the woods at a running pace. She watched the beam of light disappear into the trees, and then she turned back to Arietta. The commander's eyes were full of concern. It was time to find out the truth, the unpleasant but necessary truth.

Brenn Lucasta
Location: Midas Tower Tags: Caleb; Other Caleb; Sonata; James
⋯⋯⋯⋯❄️⋯⋯⋯⋯

Sat in the kitchen, James appeared to exude arrogance. He even had water and plants prepared for them to use against him. Brenn spotted the water coating his fingers but, even as he made another dunb pun, didn't bother freezing them, it was almost sad how little the traitor seemed to care and Brenn didn't want to accidentally give him frost bite. James offered to give them an explanation of how he knew about Caleb's survival and then, far more horrifying, mentioned the Sanctuary and murder. Usually Brenn would deny such an allegation in an instant but he remembered why he had chosen to come here rather than there, Jen and her fiery nature terrified him no end and he imagined she would probably have no qualms at killing a traitor. From the way Caleb's denial trailed off Brenn could guess that he was thinking the same thing. Still, James' 'brother' was a traitor too and Brenn was sure that if these weren't lies then his death had been in self-defence where there were no other options. Jen might be scary but she wouldn't have killed for fun.
Caleb's next question filled him with dread, he hadn't even thought about that possibility. If the information had been passed on they were ruined. The rebellion would be uncloaked. The traitor didn't answer straight away but Sonata, in continuation of her shocking new rage, didn't hesitate to make threats. The tension in his shoulders disappeared rapidly when James revealed that he had lost the maps to their Commander's father. He was relieved to hear that James couldn't see the future either, only essentially spy on people with powers. He seemed like much less of threat now that they understood just how he knew all that stuff about them.
James seemed eager to tell them all about the murder at the Sanctuary but Brenn agreed with Sonata.
"If our 'fiery friend' did murder someone, I trust her judgement. I'm sure your 'brother' left her no choice. We don't need to hear your twisted version of what happened."
He sounded more confident than he felt. "I think finding the Commander's dad is a good idea. We ought to make sure the maps are safe." He had turned towards his friends as he said this, looking specifically towards Caleb to see if he agreed with their plan. James' arms were bound with vines so he was practically already arrested, he wouldn't be going anywhere with great ease.

Arietta's heart sank when she saw two arrows fly behind hers, and she was sure Jen was about to kill Leroy on accident. But then she saw a spear flying, and she closed her eyes, not wanting to see the boy be impaled. Even though Gavotte was there, protecting Ardai from Leroy, he couldn't do anything against the spear.
But then she heard a sword being unsheathed and her eyes sprang open. Atlanta was there, and Arietta knew everything would be okay. She trusted Atlanta, and Arietta wanted to just slowly sag to the ground but she refrained from doing so. She uprighted herself and pretended to dust herself off, needing a second to ground her emotions.
All she wanted to do was cry.
But then Atlanta asked for a report, and Arietta nodded, tunneling into her power in her gut as she approached the commander. Thankfully, instead of it just being silent as Arietta brought her power to the surface, Naevys and Ardai were asking to find Arys. Unfortunately, Arietta couldn't focus on much else besides drudging up her power. She saw the concern in her commander's eyes as she turned back towards her, and Arietta couldn't help the tears that sprung in her eyes. Arietta then reached out and held her sister's hand, and showed her the truth. The ugly, awful truth. From the time Arietta and her team left, to exactly when Atlanta arrived, it all played out before the commander's eyes. It was only a few minutes, but Arietta was exhausted by the end of it. This form of her power was new, one she definitely wanted to play with, but she knew she would have to train herself.
"I don't know where the other teams are, but I am sure they are on their way back." Arietta commented, trying to keep her voice even. Her throat was thick with emotion, and all she wanted to do was lie down. But there was still work to be done. "I will go search for the other teams, if you wish, but I really think we should try to keep as many of us together as possible, just in case. There is strength in numbers." She then swallowed and had to look away for a second as the tears threatened to spill over. She had felt like a failure, for not running towards the screams when she had heard them. "Was I wrong in not running back here when I heard the screams? Was I wrong in threatening Jen? Because I don't feel guilty about it whatsoever. I feel betrayed and angry. And truthfully, I cannot be alone with her at the moment. What she did is unforgivable in my eyes, especially when I know that these 'traitors' just wanted a better life for themselves. They saw each other as family, and I know we have to as well, but it's very hard. Especially when he was our age." Arietta then had a horrifying thought and couldn't stop herself as she grabbed onto Atlanta so fiercely, she was sure she was cutting her sister's circulation.
"Please promise me that these boys will not be tortured anymore after tonight. I will ask the questions myself, I will force them to admit the truth, but please, no more pain for them. They are just kids, they are just like us. They just wanted a better world, but they were misconstrued. Please, sis, please." Arietta started saying, her eyes wide and imploring. Tears flowed from her eyes, her voice breaking. A sob escaped from her, an ugly sob.
All she could think about, was what her father was going through. Was he screaming like Drew did? Was he begging for death? Was he even alive?
Arietta shook her head and backed away from Atlanta, wrapping her arms around herself as she tried to compose herself.
"I'm sorry, I just- I'm sorry." She stated, ugly, loud sobs. She squeezed her eyes shut as she tried to stop herself. But just like the truth, it was hard to stop.

xxxxxxxxJen fought Leroy's powers as best she could, refusing to succumb to his "beauty". Just as she was going to shoot another arrow, the light faded. Though she had seen what had unfolded beforehand, with Ardai and his spear whose aim was made to kill, then the shadowy figure she quickly identified as Atlanta showing up and blocking the weapon with her sword. Leroy was now slack on the ground, unconcious and therefore, not an active threat. Regardless, the fire wielder knew she had bigger problems. It was time to properly confront what she'd done and find out her punishment, which she knew she fully deserved. Even she was disgusted with herself, the way she'd let her morality go in an instant. If they threw her out, she'd make home in the woods and remain a rebel, not necessarily fighting alongside a specific cause - which she didn't trust necessarily to begin with - but her own. When Gavotte approached, she looked down, meeting his gaze. Holding it as she answered, "No." She told herself it wasn't a lie, but frankly, she wasn't sure.
