Oh okay, so there's no actual ritual? It's just kind of like a roleplay thing?

The way these things usually go, the actual "ritual" (aka the text box we have right now giving you generated sentences) is just for fun. But after a certain amount of time, the story of the event itself will progress, and there'll be references made to what we "did". For example, during the 2016 space event, the texts were all about how we tried to fix the antenna of the space station, and the event story continued as we accidentally teleported the moon into the orbit of another planet.
So basically, the whole thing is just flavor text for our entertainment, but it will tie into the story later c:

This thread is really helpful for finding out where to get what pets and items from. Perhaps that'll make it easier to figure out where to go?^^

We don't know the end date yet, but summer events usually run for 2-ish weeks. Just watch the news on the home page - there will be a news post to let everyone know on the last day of new pet/item releases, which should also say how many more days after that we'll have to collect banners. And then another after banner hunting is over to remind everyone to get their tokens spent before trade-ins are over.

(sorry if this is too speculative of a question to belong here, but I'm curious)

Notker = Fae entity or changeling?
He seems to know an awful lot about the so-called fairy doings, and from some things he's said it can be inferred that he is not a villager and both can see the faeries, knows them and has created magical animals such as jackalopes (and had extra antlers to spare).
Is he a possible antagonist? or maybe just a fun neutral npc

The fairy circle is currently just a fun thing to do, there is no actual purpose yet.

It doesn’t do anything so far; it’s just for fun. Although, in past events, we’ve had similar “click the button and something funny happens” areas that eventually turn out to be useful some way; for example, during the jungle event last year, you could obtain a special token from it every hour.
