Do new parts of the event happen at rollover every day or only some days?

We get new stuff every day for the next few days. Typically we will have a couple more days to collect banners and trade in our tokens after the last releases happen, though - so the event does last a bit past the releases. However, there won't be days skipped or anything, and we'll get a news post telling us if we reached the last day of new releases.

Edit: Most releases happen at rollover every day, but there are exceptions - so-called banner pets may get added at random times during the day, and don't necessarily start appearing at rollover.

We do not know exactly when the event will end. Summer events usually go for an average of 2 weeks.

generaly, what kind of summer pets are more rare ? there are the given pets that are obviously more common, but are the tokens pets generally more rare when they are random or they are more rare when they are not random ?
