▹ Whale Fact!: Narwhal horns were once worth many times their weight in gold because they were believed by many to be unicorn horns, and they would be used to make cups because a cup made from unicorn horn was believed to destroy any poison within it (useful for royalty).

Also, very rarely, a narwhal can have two horns. A narwhal only has two teeth, and the tusk is the one that grows much larger in a normal one horned narwhal, so the tusk is slightly off center. I believe it’s usually on the left? But I’m not sure. Females usually don’t have tusks but I believe there has been at least one instance of a two-horned female (cow), but I can’t remember the source.

I keep forgetting how large narwhals are.... They’re small for whales, but they’re still fairly huge.
