HoneyHop decided to make use of himself, heading out to peek around their territory a bit. The dog didn’t expect to find much, simply enjoying the look of the trees. And the grass- the first even. The sweet outdoorsy smell that greeted his nose was welcome amidst the usual smell of dirty old dogs. A smell he didn’t expect to find, though, was that of other dogs. Ones he wasn’t quite familiar with.

He lowered his ears, debating returning to camp and pretending he didn’t know a thing. But alas his curiosity got the better of him and he continued toward the smell, eventually stumbling upon the chatting pair. He hadn’t meant to come upon them so suddenly, perhaps stealth would’ve been wiser. But he was too far now so he lifted his snout and gave a little yip to gain some attention. He thought himself to be threatening but couldn’t muster much with the pup. He was thinking too much. What was a child doing out here? Did it belong to the older one? Would she be hostile toward him because of this? His fur bristled at the thought- tensing in anticipation.

Daisypup

Startled at the sound of another dog, Daisypup found herself looking at the new dog. But she had also moved to be beside Firelight, her little heart racing. “Hello. My name is Daisypup.” She said. She came here to join the pack so she decided to speak a bit.

She had been getting bored waiting for a patrol to come around and was just about ready to move on with Daisypup and find a different pack or solution. Until a yip was heard and made her jump in surprise. Hearing Daisypup speak, she spoke up next "Um hi...I'm Firelight. We were hoping to join your pack." She made herself seem smaller so she wouldn't look like a threat.

He narrowed his eyes. “I don’t hold enough authority to help youas of now.” He spoke to Firelight. “The pup, however, I could take with me.” HoneyHop said. A pup was no threat, and while Firelight would stand no chance amongst the whole of the pack She could still cause some serious damage if she turned out to be an issue. He wasn’t foolish enough to walk a grown stranger right into their home. Amongst the pups playing and the elders. The sick and the inexperienced. It was far too risky and he would need to speak to a superior about her. Daisypup, however, would be no issue.

He moved forward to scoop up the little thing- gently going to lift her by the scruff. Still on edge. Ready to defend himself.

Daisypup was upset that HoneyHop wouldn’t let Firelight follow. “I’ve spent enough time to know Firelight wouldn’t harm anyone. She’s done nothing but be kind and caring towards me. Can’t you allow her to come in and meet your leader? Please?” The young pup begged, not wanting to leave her new friend behind. I thought this was supposed to be a friendly pack. I’m shown kindness but not Firelight. That’s not fair at all! she thought.

She watched as the stranger picked Daisypup up and heard her pleas. What ever this dog decides I'd rather Daisypup have a pack then me. That way she can grow and learn. And it's not like I can care for a pup I'm only 12 moons old. She didn't know if she could trust this wolf he looked stronger then her and if he called his pack to kill her she'd be in trouble, it was another pack that killed hers after all. But she waited for the strangers next move.

Scout growled and sat down. Her ears folded against her skull, and her tail wrapped tightly around her side. She couldn't go on with this. Her cruel twolegs were no good for her. She knew what she had to do. She glanced over at the small dip in the fence. She dug and dug and dug until she could squeeze through. She ducked down low and pushed her body forward. Her collar got stuck on the splinters of wood. She gagged and threw her body back. Going back into her twoleg's territory. I need to get this collar off! She lowered her head and got her jaw between the collar. She held it tight, then yanked at it, pulling upward. It snapped and went limp between her teeth. She spat it out and got back up, slipping carefully under the fence. She then heard it, her twolegs yelling. She took no time to waste before she booked it into the trees. Her fur messed up and dirty, though she was free. She ran far into the woods, and laid down next to a tree. Panting hard, her nostrils flared as she took in the new scents of her surroundings. She began to lick her fur clean, then lowered her head and let out a sigh.

HoneyHop paused. “I apologize, pup, but the word of someone so innocent holds little value in ensuring the safety of our own pups and such. I will do my best to ensure someone comes out to meet with your friend. But you, dear, would do best to come with me. A pack or a twoleg is where a puppy belongs. Not out on their own.” He said smartly, lifting her by the scruff. He nodded toward Firelight quietly, acknowledging her before setting off at a brisk pace. Just in case the pup should start to squirm. He assumed the older dog knew that it was for the best and would not pursue, but Daisypup herself he wouldn’t doubt may cause some issues.

She sighed and laid down to wait, having doubts that the stranger would send someone to her. She'd been feeling insecure ever since her pack was killed, getting negative thoughts in head didn't help. She wanted to join a pack but at the same time she was nervous, scarred even. She was never the bravest dog around but with friends she was brave and now she alone again.

Scout's head raised and her ears pricked as she heard quiet talking among the trees. Three scents. Dog scents. Maybe there are wild dogs I can meet! She thought with excitement as her tail began to wag. Oh, but what if they are dangerous? What if they take me as a threat? She smelt the air. Now there was only one. She hesitated, before stepping towards the scent. She let out a small and shy bark, "hello?" She took another step forward to see who she was talking to. Her eyes adjusted to see a beautiful golden dog, a bit bigger then her. She whimpered and stepped back. Seeing the presumably fiercer dog. Maybe this was a mistake?
