so happy i found this thread!! given the fact that the form is no longer required, i suppose i'll just post some things i've been questioning about since i'm fairly new to this. i'd love some advice as to a couple of things i'm doing for a complicated character if anyone has any to spare!
i'm doing a character with sharp teeth, and i decided to buy a a bunch of two set fangs, and i plan to glue them all to my teeth individually with a dental adhesive. (fixodent, to specify.) they don't all individually fit on my teeth, especially my front two. however, i plan to do it in a pattern where they line up, even if it's slightly off the teeth themselves. it sounds a bit silly just typing it out ah, but i'm hoping it works regardless. the reason i'm doing this is i'm unable to find a full set of pointed teeth online, and i don't really have the means, or cash to make any. considering most of it is going towards the rest of the cosplay.
although, if anyone has any idea where i can get something like this, that i've missed somehow? (i've looked pretty thoroughly) or a better method, or if you just don't recommend it in general, i'd really appreciate it! : )

Prepping for a perfromance with my dance group in a like 3 weeks. paid for a dream cosplay
still need to finish collecting parts for crystal princess sakura (just need the wand and the shoes)
and finish costumes for three separate things (CMV, Competition and a fundraiser)
so that's gonna be the rest of the year
as well as doing two major dance group performances

So! Hello! I'm working on a steampunk plague doctor costume and I've finished part of the skirt (can't show it since in its current state it reveals a bit too much) the mask itself and I've cut out the pattern for my corset! (Any tips for working with leather accepted) I've been occasionally selling cosplay props and such and I'm a little new to working with leather, I wanted to make pouches, belts, etc. to add to my future Etsy but my sewing machine broke so if anyone knows some tricks for working with leather I would appreciate if you PM me with suggestions, sorry this is all over the place I just haven't gotten to talk about this yet!

i suggest looking at some characters from your interests, and sorting out the most simple ones, and choosing from there. i also suggest choosing someone that won't require body paint, especially for halloween. it's a lot less stressful, and allows you to focus on other important things you need to arrange.

Really? That's so cool! Do you have any links to the images, or...? On another note, your advice is SOLID.

oof my con is officially less than two weeks away, which means con panic has finally set in! Lol
I’m making a Zenyatta cosplay (from Overwatch) and need to make some gloves to do the robot hands with. Does anyone here have any tips for making arm socks out of tights? I’ve got some really thick black ones I want to use, but I can’t seem to find a very clear tutorial online to help me, and I have NO idea what I’m doing!
