if by the original you mean this image by canis2954, it is because they entrusted ownership/management of Pippins to me shortly after creating the species. The original was a simple sketch, and while, at first, this more polished version of the lineart was simply for my own Pippins, canis offered management of Pippins to me after I completed it, which I accepted.

If you are confused on why it says "belongs to .lucifer" and my username is zave, that is a very simple mix up: .lucifer is my old username.
