One year ago, five clans, Taigaclan, Orchardclan, Shallowclan, Hillclan, and Brookclan
all lived in harmony. Until the disaster came. A seven-mile wide asteroid stuck earth,
wreaking havoc. Earthquakes, massive fires, extreme heat, starvation, and ash block
ing the sun where just some of the side effects of impact, even though it stuck thou
sands of miles away. Of course, the clans had no idea the origin of the disaster. Many
thought Starclan was punishing them for some sort of evil deed. The clans where scat
tered, their homes totally destroyed. A few moons ago, the remains reunited along wi
th many outsiders who had come seeking refuge. Ashclan was born, named after the
ash that now covered the land. They have been struggling to survive in this waste
land, especially since the sun is still blocked, along with many other threats.

The clan doesn't currently have a home, as they are constantly on the move. The land
scape, no matter where they go, is burnt and covered in ash. There are no trees or for
ests, nor any large plants. Small plants can be found, but are uncommon due to the la
ck of sunlight. As such, herbs are rare and precious.

Because ash and dust block the sun, it is quite cold. The average temperature is 35
degrees Fahrenheit. Some sources of water may be frozen.

Any prey is uncommon and many cats have starved. Any animal larger than a cat is un
heard of nowadays. Prey includes mice, small birds, voles, shrews, fish, (If your willing
to risk getting wet) and rabbits (very rare)

The clan faces many threats, including starvation, freezing to death, little to no shelter,
acid rain (uncommon) poisoned water sources, frozen water sources, little to no herbs,
unpredictable weather, and no sun.
