027 gazed back as the spiked cat stared at him. He could see the want if escape clearly on her face, the same look he had had two years ago. He held the gaze, knowing that she could see the want for escape in his eyes too. Suddenly his head snapped back to the lioness, Phenomenia, as she talked. Then it looked at the trees she was talkin about, seeing the rocks. "Why yes, there are." He said quietly, not really seeing why they were important. He looked back at her, she was now trying to chew the chain off her paw off. "It's not going to work." He stated as he eyes turned red. When he first came to this place he would of been scared of that, scared and confused, but it was next to normal for him now. He himself had has a hangs in eye colour, 027 could faintly remember them being a warm brown colour before. Now they were blue, the same blue as the markings on his body. He hated it, what right did these humans have to play with his body, like putty in their hands. That was the thing about humans, they always thought they were the best - that they could do whatever they wanted.

"Can I help?" Soochka asked, as she trotted up to the lion. She was ultra tired, but of course, laying in the sun all day would do that to you.

Phenomenia flicked an ear,now laying on the grass as she tried to get it off. She gave up,placing it on the ground. "Do you think,if we got all of the animals to work together,we could escape ?"She asked them,her eyes now returning to their normal color.

Phenomenia moved ehr paw from the fennec fox. "its fine."The lioness said defiantly,now standign and looking around. She cleared ehr throat,starting for the water. The lioness slid into the stream,to the other side,and towards Kuro,Kamel,and Caz.

The old canine smiled softly. Now this was something he knew about. Some of old self seemed to return, and for just a second 027 felt young again. He remembered all his escape plans, some in detail and just faint glimpses of some. If all the experiments worked together would it be possible. But then, just as it always did, reality came crashing back down. 027 lost the spark in his eyes that he had gained, and hung his head. "I think it's foolish to try and escape," he said, looking at the ground, "I think the humans will always win, no matter what the plan is, and I think that our only chance is if they decide to let us go or we die. Either way seems impossible. I'm old, older than I should and expected to be, but the humans seem to of done something so I'm not dead yet. They don't want you to die unless they can't help it, and if they don't want us to die why would they let us go? We're doomed to spend the rest of our lives here, if you can call it a life." 027 looked up. He had finished his little speech by the lioness seemed to of moved. He spun around, watching her head to the water. Just as I expected. Everyone leaves eventually.

History:
Thanatos was born in the Rocky Mountain National Park to a dying herd. Colorado Fish and Game managed to catch the calf and began to hand-raise him after his mother was taken by a hunter. However, the young elk was stolen from them and taken to a small facility hidden deep in the park by a group of scientists. Unlike other scientists, these weren't interested in using science to further the human race. Their sole purpose was to build the perfect killer and hide it in the body of a deer. Over the course of several months, Thanatos was experimented on. He was injected and prodded, tortured until he flew into a fury. After two years of these experiments, an animal much different from the one who walked in escaped from the facility. Since his escape, Thanatos has been living in the National Park, but he was recently captured.
Personality:
Because of his treatment in the testing facility, Thanatos isn't a very social creature. He is fearful around other 'herbivores' and often times remains silent so he doesn't show his fangs. Once he warms up to someone, he becomes cheerful and friendly. He does tend to be a tad moody when he's hungry. Thanatos also has a deeply rooted fear of needles and of humans. He gets violent when he is restrained, and has been known to bite. Please be aware that this is only a personality base. Thanatos may not always fit this description depending on situations and circumstances.

Large deer with a pale brown yellowish rump, short tail, dark brown legs, belly, neck, and head. He has a shaggy neck mane and, in late summer and autumn, a set of large, spreading antlers. Instead of flat, grinding teeth, Thanatos has the teeth of a canine, particularily fox-like.

Thanatos is a very accomplished hunter, mainly because he looks like an herbivore. He is also fast and powerful, like all other healthy bull elk are.

Because of his size, Thanatos cannot maneuver his body very well.
