Personality Minori has had a strong sense of justice ever since she was young, that sense of justice is about the only part of her that hasn't changed dramatically since her youth. Where there was once idealism and enthusiasm there is now only cynicism and pessimism; where there was hope there is now only exasperation. She had hoped to make the world a better place, the way she felt her mother did when she worked in the legal system... instead she only sees the corruption more clearly and feels it has long past the point of no return. She no longer aspires to make things better, only to stop them from getting actively worse. Perhaps the only one who gets to see much of the fractured remnants of her dashed hopes and idealism is her younger brother, Iah--only adopted when she solved his case eight years ago. Something her department never lets her forget--after all, some of them were working that case when they were shown up by a high school student. The Third Detective Prince(ss). So when an unsolvable case was thrown at her... Well, it was only the sort of revenge she expected.
Other Minori has recently buried herself in reading all the case files from the event 25 years ago. She's found a few persons of interest... and a lot of questions about some of the less scientific evidence. Also, her necklace was a gift from Iah when she officially became a detective.

In general Iah is someone who definitely would be considered 'street smart' rather than book smart, though not necessarily because of any lack of intelligence -- when it comes down to it Iah simply started school a good few years late and thus has had less schooling than his peers. The fact that he made it into high school on time was simply the result of a lot of work and a desire to not let his older sister down. He's fairly sweet in general, often being open to help others where he can and never being the one to throw the first punch metaphorically or literally. That said, he's definitely won't let those he cares about be pushed around without standing up against whoever may be doing the pushing -- though if he is the target himself he tends to be much slower to be provoked. He's not easy to trick though. Iah definitely has a hell of a sarcastic streak in him as well -- especially when provoked -- and can end up with an attitude at times.

Iah does not remember much of his early childhood. His earliest memories begin around the age of seven, and consist of mostly of a lab. It was a teenage Minori who solved that case and shut that lab down before they could finish... whatever they were doing -- Iah certainly didn't have the awareness to really figure it out -- and who adopted him as her younger brother in the process.

Similar to Esther, Iah is a 'part-time' Phantom Thief -- generally only going with them into palaces and Mementos when someone else is unable to or when his specific strengths are needed. Otherwise he plays a supporting role. Specifically he is practically a spy -- keeping an eye on his sister's investigation of the Phantom Thieves and mental shutdowns and doing what he can to keep them safe from investigation while they do their work.

extra; as the former leader of the phantom thieves, ren has already proven his skills as a persona
user albeit that was many years ago and he has not entered the metaverse in quite some time.
given the amount of time it has been since he previously entered the metaverse, arsene has
become his main persona once again for reasons unknown (thus it is assumed time passed is
the cause). nevertheless, ren is still a strong persona user despite being older now. he isn't as
quick or nimble as he once was but he can still hold his own in a fight if need be. for the thieves
he acts as a veteran persona user thus can help them grow and even lend a hand in training.
he is not a member of the new phantom thieves, but he understands why they are doing
what they are doing. he probably will not take part in any heists unless he gets dragged along.

personality; at first glance ren is a quiet adult who is polite and well-mannered towards those around
him. however, he has the flair for showing off and being a bit on the dramatic side even when
in the face of danger. this also goes along with his rebellious nature that he masks under his
usual quiet nature. around his friends he can be quite snarky and playfully tease them from
time to time. he does however care for his friends and always tries to be there for them when
needed showing that he does care about his bonds with them. another aspect of his personality
is his strong sense of justice. this also leads to him being considered honorable especially after
his previous accomplishments as a thief. ren is also known to quite assertive making him a
natural leader to others. once his mind is set to something it is hard to change it showing that
he is courageous and determined despite how others might think of him. because of this he
often follows his own path though he is always willing to listen to those he is close with for
suggestions, but at the end of the day he prefers to follow his heart. as such he is very resistant
to control-based authority. this often leads him to be threatened, criticized and insulted by those
he challenges. even though ren is a rebellious spirit, he is also quite tactful and plans his actions
out before going through with them. he is always looking out for those around him and making
sure they can go on without being put into any kind of danger. as the years have gone by ren has
not changed all too much in his personality although he has become a bit more mellow as well as
protective over his family.

other; after the events of twenty five years ago, ren went on to graduate from high school and later
marry fellow phantom thief, ann takamaki. as she took of in success as a model, ren took a quieter
approach to life and worked up to own his own cafe which shows how sojiro influenced him during
his time with him. he has lived a comfortable life and when ann was away on any modeling business
he took the role of a stay at home dad for his children. he has stayed friends with all the original
thieves and still keeps in contact with them whenever he can. he is also curious about the new thieves
that have arisen and thus does his own digging around for information whenever he can. he does not
know who the thieves are, but plans to find out.
