Assuming you're referring to this pet, it had an extended release until August 2009. Due to having an extended release, it's generally valued at 2 2009 rares / 3 month rule going by its extended release date. You're free to value it how you'd like regardless of general values though. :)

I have an auction up for this right now, and most of the offers I've been getting have had a 2009 very rare, multiple 2009 rares, or something around that value. I know it's tecnically not worth that much, but from what I've seen demand can make it worth a lot.

I'm sorry if this is a vague question, but what sorts of "In-between" pets should I trade for to help me get up to the highly sought after pets, such as Sun dogs and "List pets" (I don't use the list just thought that would better explain what I'm talking about)? I always check auction for these guys, but it seems like they are all asking for the same things, and I don't know how to trade up from my regular 2010 rares to these guys. I will put an example below.
