He grinned proudly, well as much of a grin as a feline with herbs in ones mouth could. A gleam of laughter in his eyes he watched as she gingerly carried the herbs, admiring how careful she was of keeping the herbs from being crushed. I'd be an unfortunate thing to crush what they had both worked hard to find. He watched as she paused to sniff for the last herb, feverfew before turning to ask him about badgerstar. "He's- alright I guess. I don't know.." he paused here, he didn't know how to really respond. He didn't want to offend the younger molly. He sighed, he might as well tell the truth. "I don't support his methods, but he's not all that bad. He knows how to lead a clan. He's just- not the most caring cat in the world." he huffed softly hoping to all of starclan that he hadn't had offended the sweet molly. Of all of the clan cats to have mad at him, he'd rather she not be one of them. He thought for a moment. "What do you think of him?" he asked genuinely, he was admittedly curious as to how the sweet molly saw her vengeful brother.

He could feel it, he could feel the win on the horizon. It was only that thought that kept him going as he and hawkpaw continued to lay into one another. Shredding viciously, badgerstar's praise only fueled the fire further that roared and screamed inside the ambitious tom. Suddenly however, he was thrown backwards. A surprising amount of force from the young apprentice, and as he rose to feet ready to fling himself again at the molly he froze in his tracks at the sight of buzzardfeather. Eyes wide, then narrowed as he came to the realization that their fight had been interrupted, he let out a frustrated snarl and turned to look for badgerstar. He was already there, fuming at the interrupting. A smug smile tugged at his lips, but still he remained scowling before pulling back his lips and adding his own input.
"We were fine without your interruption. I wouldn't have killed her, just seriously maimed her." He gave a pointed look back at hawkpaw a sneer in his eyes. It was a lie, he would have ended her life in a heartbeat a moment ago. However the medicine cat didn't need to know that and he watched as badgerstar ended their fight, ordering them back with the medicine cat. He felt a slight bit of praise coming from the tom, at being called true warriors. However the title being shared with hawkpaw ruined the majority of the pleasure. He snarled at harepaw as she flicked her tail and told them to follow her. He'd admit, her usually bubbly gaze was clouded with mixed rage and cold frustration. It was a look that startled him, though he didn't let it show. She was usually so- happy. Typically he hated her for it, so happy-go-lucky even when the world might as well have been ending.
He followed harepaw his tail lashing and a scowl remaining on his face. A lack of resolution still gnawed at his belly, but he did as he was told and flopped himself into the corner, glaring daggers at hawkpaw whenever he had the chance.

Harepaw dipped her head in acknowledgement, at least there would be herbs. Though she couldn't help the soft tang of disappointment at herself for failing at gathering enough to satisfy. Her mentor had thought it best to send out a different cat to gather herbs as opposed to herself. Swallowing that disappointment her long ears perked at the sound of a ferocious scuffle, an appropriate amount of yowling and hissing accompanied it. Her eyes widened as buzzardfeather uttered an exclamation and quickly called for harepaw to follow. Immediately the apprentice was on her feet and dashing after her mentor. It took a moment but harepaw finally saw what buzzardfeather was so worked up about, two apprentices viciously ripping into one another.
This wasn't training, this was full blown murder. Alarmed harepaw watched as her mentor made to leap between the two, it took every instinct not to grab her mentor and pull her away from the danger her fellow apprentices presented. She swallowed her disgust at the sight of the battered apprentices, clumps of fur torn and blood matting the ground and their own pelts. Her eyes went cold as she turned to watch badgerstar and brindlepaw lay into her mentor for interrupting. She remained silent however, this wasn't her battle but her mentor's and she knew very well what defying badgerstar could mean for a clan cat. Harepaw shuddered, suddenly quite glad she wasn't a warrior apprentice. These were her fellow apprentices, and they were killing each other..
Suddenly she looked at badgerstar, the pieces clicking in her mind. They were trying to impress him. She stiffed a growl, though the anger at her fellow apprentices had vanished. A true warrior, he had said. If this was what he thought of a true warrior.. Suppressing a shudder the medicine apprentice stood taller and strode towards the two fuming apprentices. Still clearly irked at having been interrupted. "Come on then, before either of you bleed out." harepaw meowed, sounding annoyed at having to treat the two of them. That they were nothing more than a fly buzzing about her ear. Whisking her tail she trotted briskly to the medicine den her eyes having set long ago on her decided course of action. Right now however she had to attend to her fellow apprentices, she would deal with what this bloody battle would mean later.
