HawkPaw glanced around as he stood next to AngelClaw, who was staring right at TigerTalon. He rolled his eyes and looked away seeing MintPaw, Tilting his head he leaped up and padded towards him, "Hello My name is HawkPaw..." He flicked his tail up high as he could then nodded.

Mintpaw

Mintpaw nodded his head at Hawkpaw, swiping his tail across the camp floor. He looked at the smaller tom, and thought, Why am I always so big to every other apprentice? Everyone I meet also thinks I'm a warrior. Oh, I wish I would be so I can just say yes to them and not feel stupid. His amber eyes stared into the other apprentice's and he lifted one black and white paw and gave it a lick, and then set it down. "I'm Mintpaw." He meowed in greeting, then flicked his long black and white tail at his new friend. "So, I heard Tigertalon is the new deputy." He said, trying to start a real conversation.

HawkPaw sat down slowly wrapping his tail around his front paws, pulling his ears back slightly, ""So I hear he is, My Aunt seems to think it's a pretty good choice..." He trailed on, then he whiped his head up to look up at MintPaw. "So your Not a Warrior?" He asked, he was pretty big, But to HawkPaw everyone was big becasue he was a bit small.

Mintpaw

Mintpaw had to bite his lip to keep from snarling at the small apprentice, and then flattened his ears, seeing that's all he could do right now. "No, I'm not," He meowed, "But Three moons and I will be." He added to Hawkpaw. "Everyone thinks i'm a Warrior, and I just wish I can say yes so I don't look or sound like a mouse-brain when I say i'm only an apprentice." He muttered to Hawkpaw, his usually bright amber eyes were dimmed, like a shadow covering the light because he was growing more sad and frustrated. He pricked his ears up at Hawkpaw. "Your aunt? Well, she can't just think he's a good choice. She must like him." He stood up, and lashed his tail.

HawkPaw sensed that he said something wrong, then when MintPaw explained, he understood. He kinda made fun of this other cat. HawkPaw ducked his head and sighed, "Im only 8 moons..." HawkPaw then stood up and smiled, "Im sorry if I hurt your feelings, Im just a bit mean and I don't relize it."

Mintpaw

Mintpaw took a step toward Hawkpaw, his eyes brightening. "No, No you didn't hurt my feelings. Other cats, maybe." He murmered to him, and then stood up, lashing his tail in good-bye to Hawkpaw and then padded over to the Fresh-kill pile. He took out a plump vole and then laid down, taking a bite and then sighed. His eyes showed a flicker of absence and then he gulped down his meal.
