as stated in the thread topic :0c
i don't know if i'll actually follow through with the drawing (considering i'm too busy to really draw anyway), but i wanted to know for future reference - the drawing wouldn't preach or promote the religion in any way, i just want to draw a pretty mosque haha
aside from that, what really qualifies as a "religious drawing" on oekaki anyway? to what extent does a drawing have to contain religious material to be considered as breaking oekaki rules?
thank you so much!

Hi there,
That would be fine as long as you don’t make your drawing in the adoptable or editable boards. We allow religious themes in boards such as beginner/intermediate/advanced, or the sketch boards. It just becomes more of a problem when everyone can color it in or it is being widely distributed, just because people makes changes that may be offensive or insensitive. Oekaki should be for fun, not debates.
In cases of religious drawings, we’d have to judge that on a case by case basis. However, as long as it isn’t an adoptable or editable, and there isn’t anything inappropriate in the imagery itself.

ah, thank you so much for the reply! i must have remembered incorrectly and thought the "no religious drawings" rule applied to all the oekaki boards. i'll keep those rules in mind when i decide to make that drawing :0
have a nice day!
