Alhar opened his eyes and groaned as the sun glared down at him. He groaned and literally rolled out of bed, his head hitting the bedside table as he went down. He curesed drowsily then got to his feet and put on his armour and weapons. It was the same as every morning, but then he paused remembering where he was. He had to wonder how things could be so the same but so different. He sighed and opened to door to his room, heading down the stairs and into the main room. He was soon to buy some food and sit down for breakfast, his meal could have feed the entire group. He ate readily, even sleep made him hungry.

She watched curiously as Alhar stumbled down the stairs. He sat down to eat a monsterous breakfast, almost enough to feed the entire city. Sae sat down at his table and giggled softly. "I would hate to be as tall as you if I have to eat all of that every day." She said, her red eyes glinting. She stifled a yawn and looked at a group of men that were sitting at a table, arguing about something. "What do you think of Ravenloft so far?"

The elven boy yawned and stretched in the morning sun. His eyes fluttered open and darted around to observe his surroundings. Anamerak nearly laughed when he remembered were he was. It was the inn, and he was here with his friends. He turned his head and noticed Ash still asleep. He smiled, she looked different asleep. Innocent almost.

Alhar shrugged and looked down at his empty plate. He's thoughts drifted off to back home for a minute, the meals he used to have with his father and occasonally his brother. Now all he could remember of meals at home was sitting at a huge amost empty table, his brother not being able to come because he was studying, his dad being to sick. He shook the thoughts away "Ravenloft? Here? I hate to say it but it's better than back home." he was being honest, it was more alive then his entire down seemed to be even if this place seemed to be filled with the dead.

She nodded slightly. "Well, this isn't exactly the best of places but I'm glad you like it so far." She replied, refolding her wings. She sighed and looked around. "Wait until I show you the places you have to go and people you have to see. You won't think its too great then." She said dryly. She returned her gaze back to him, her head tilted slightly. "What is your home like?" She asked out of curiousity. She didn't expect an answer.

Alhar thought for a minute, he had never really thought of his home as anywhere but... his home, he didn't think anyone he meet hadn't heard of it but then again, Summer Haven didn't exist here. "It's a large city by the sea, mainly a fishing village. It isn't far from the Noray of my world so it's a bit undershadowed. The king is old and sick, I don't know if he'll be alive when I get back," Alhar struggled to keep his calm, he might dissagree and argue with his father at times but he truely couldn't imagine a world without him, Alhar continoued to speak, "The king's youngest son is a wizard but as good as blind for he always keeps his eyes closed; whenever he does open them he will scream about blood and murder." Alhar shivered he almost preferd his brother to keep his eyes shut. The hastaria the fifteen year old went into when his eyes were open was almost unhuman, yet again he pushed the thought aside, "I-I'm supossed to be ruling the damn place; signing this treaty and that one, sorting out this problem form the next, finding the right battle stratigy..." sorrow finally took over. He stared straight ahead for some time before he found the strenght to speak again and even then his voice was sad and quiet "I'm no king."
